2) Language 1

(a) Language Comprehension

In this section, there is Reading unseen passages, consisting of two passages, one poem and one prose or drama with questions on grammar, comprehension, verbal ability, and inference (Prose passage may be literary, discursive, narrative or scientific)

There are 2 unseen prose passages (literary or discursive or scientific or narrative) with questions on, grammar, verbal ability, and comprehension.

CTET 2020 Exam Pattern

CTET Exam Pattern

CTET Exam pattern is well-defined by the CBSE. The candidates must have a look at the CTET exam pattern before starting CTET Preparation-

CTET 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • All the questions are multiple choice based. 
  • Every question carries 1 mark. 
  • There is no negative marking in the question paper.
  • There would be two papers in CTET.

Paper 1 is for the candidates who want to become a teacher for Grade 1 to 5.

Paper 2 is for the candidates who want to become a teacher for Grade 6 to 8.

A person who intends to become a teacher for both the levels has to appear in both the papers.

Paper 1: Primary stage Duration of exam: 2.5 hours
