What is NATA ?

The NATA 2023 examination dates have been made available on the website nata.in. Beginning March 20, applicants can access the NATA 2023 application form on the same website. It is recommended that candidates review the official NATA 2023 eligibility requirements before registering. Only registered candidates will be able to obtain the NATA 2023 admit card. The NATA 2023 will be conducted in three stages as a computer-based test on April 21 (first phase), May 28 (second phase), and July 9 (third phase). Registered candidates may choose to take one or all of the NATA 2023 sessions. If a candidate appears for two tests, the higher score will be considered valid, and if a candidate takes three tests, the valid score will be the average of the two best scores. Qualifying in NATA 2023 is necessary for admission to the BArch programme offered by various colleges throughout India. NATA 2023 qualified candidates will not be subject to a common counselling process.

The NATA entrance exam is conducted every year by the official conducting authorities of the Council of Architecture. Every year the NATA entrance exam is conducted in two sessions. Nata full form is National Aptitude Test in Architecture. The applicants who wish to pursue admission in 5 years of B. Arch courses offered in different institutions located across the country can apply for the NATA 2023 entrance exam.

Here are the step wise details given below in order to fill the NATA application form.

Step 1: Register yourself for NATA exam

  • Go to the official website of NATA and click on the NATA 2023 - Registration tab.
  • Create a login ID and password. 
  • Candidates are required to fill out a form that requires the details such as name, gender, DOB, mobile number, email id, Unique Password and security question. 
  • Candidates will receive an email on their registered ID with the application number and password once the aforementioned information has been filled out and submitted. For later logins to the website, this must be saved.

Step 2: Login on official website and fill NATA 2023 application form 

  • Candidates must first log into the NATA website using their registered credentials in order to complete the application form. 

  • Candidates can start completing the NATA 2023 application once they have successfully logged in.

Step 3: Upload scanned copies of required documents

  • Candidates are required to upload the scanned copies of the following documents in black/ blue ink only in jpg/jpeg format.
  • Recent passport size photograph of the candidate.
  • Candidate's signature.

Step 4: Payment of the application fee for NATA 2023

Candidates have to appear in the examination with a printed hard copy of the downloaded admit card along with one original photo identity card- Voter Card/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License.

How to Download NATA Admit Card 2023? 

Here's a step-wise procedure to download the admit card for the NATA exam.

  • Visit the official website of NATA i.e. https://www.nata.in/
  • On the website, click on the NATA 2023 registration link-  https://nataregistration.in/
  • Where you need to enter your Email ID and password for login in
  • NATA 2023 admit card will be displayed on the screen 
  • Download and take a printout of the same to be produced at the NATA exam centres

NATA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the NATA exam such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification and eligibility requirements for the appearing candidates has been discussed below:

  • Nationality: Indian Citizens are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Age limit: As of July 2023, the applicants should be not less than 17 years of age at the time of admission.
  • Educational Qualification: The applicants who have completed their Class 12th (HSC exams) or any equivalent exam or 12th Diploma in any relevant stream or International Baccalaureate Diploma spending 10 years of study in school from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Mandatory Subjects: The applicants should have Mathematics as one of the mandatory subjects in the qualifying exam.
  • Minimum Marks: The applicants should have secured not less than 50 % marks in the qualifying exam to get admission to the institution.
  • Appearing applicants: The applicants who are appearing for the final exam are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Note: No direct lateral admission is allowed at any other year/stage of B.Arch. course based on any qualification

NATA Cutoff 2023

  • The NATA Cut off for 2023 will be made available online by the NATA.

  • The cut off will rely on a number of variables, including the number of seats, the difficulty level of the exam, the total number of candidates that took the exam, etc. 

  • It is mandatory for Candidates to receive 25% on the MCQ section and 25% on the drawing portion.

NATA Counselling 2023

Candidates who want to enroll in B.Arch. programmes should show up for individual counseling sessions held by each university.

For the purpose of verification, candidates must have all necessary documentation with them, including photocopies. Candidates who entirely meet the eligibility requirements will be granted final admission.

How To Apply for NATA 2023?

Take a look at the below steps by step process for applying to NATA 2023:

  • Visit the official website of NATA 2023 ( https://www.nata.in/)
  • Now click on the new candidates registration link and fill the registration form with all required details including Basic Personal Details, Email ID and Phone Number etc.
  • Complete the registration process and login in the application form with all required details.
  • Now fill the application form with all required details including Personal, Communicational, Exam Centre etc. and submit them.
  • Now candidates will be asked to upload all required documents for NATA Application Form including Photograph, Signature, Category Certificate.
  • Candidate's Photograph must be the latest passport size photograph with plane background and should be within given size and format.
  • The signature must be the running hand scanned signature within required size and format.
  • Click on “payment of fee using EPG service”.
  • Select a reliable payment gateway, fill the details and proceed to pay.
  • Wait until the transaction shows successful.
  • Once the transaction will be successful take the printout of the filled Application Form with Fee Receipt for future uses.

NATA 2023 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the NATA exam such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification and eligibility requirements for the appearing candidates has been discussed below:

NATA application form for Phase II and Phase III is now accessible on the official website of NATA that is https://www.nata.in/. The last date of NATA registration for phase II is 24 June 2022 whereas the last date to register for Phase III is July 24, 2022.  

Candidates who are successfully registered for NATA 2022 for Phase 2 and Phase 3 will also be given the chance to correct any errors and inaccuracies on the application form by logging in to the nata website. The form is interactive in nature as the entire Nata registration form is divided into sections and subsections. Nata exams are divided into 3 phases. The NATA admit card release date for phase 2 is July 4. Council of Architecture (COA) will release the NATA 2023 admit card phase 2 at its official website i.e https://www.nata.in/

For downloading the NATA 2023 phase 2 admit card, Candidates have to fill their credentials such as their application form number and password in the login page of the official website.

NATA 2023 Videos

NATA 2023 Result

Qualifying marks for NATA 2022 would be based on the following rules:

  • At least 25% must be secured in MCQ portion (30 out of 120) 
  • At least 25% must be secured in Drawing portion (20 out of 80)
  • Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics depending on the difficulty of the paper, number or candidates etc.

Candidate will not qualify for NATA unless (s)he satisfies all three conditions mentioned above. 

NATA Cut-Offs

The cutoff is the minimum marks, a student is expected to gain in order to get admitted into B.Arch course. Candidates are expected to have 40% or more marks to qualify in the NATA exam which means they must possess at least 80 marks out of 200. The colleges accepting the NATA score declares separate marks on the basis of ranks.

NATA 2023 Counseling Details

Universities/Colleges and states that offer Architecture programmes would be conducting NATA Counseling in a separate way. There would be no separate procedure for counseling as such wherein NATA counseling would be conducted after the declaration of result by the Council of Architecture. The respective college admission authorities would be conducting the NATA counseling after result declaration by the Council of Architecture. 

Candidates should keep track of important dates for NATA Counseling once they know the NATA Result. There are more than 400 institutes that accept NATA Score. The colleges and institutes in the respective states would be holding their own counseling procedure. Candidates qualifying NATA Examination would be applying for NATA Examination on the basis of their scores.
