What is ACPC ?

 

To regulate the admission in the professional technical education, the Government of Gujarat constituted two committees called Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). The committee is tasked to process the counselling of various courses in a fair and transparent manner. ACPC...

 

To regulate the admission in the professional technical education, the Government of Gujarat constituted two committees called Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). The committee is tasked to process the counselling of various courses in a fair and transparent manner. ACPC conducts the counselling on the basis of preference and merit of the candidate. 

 
Here are some of the functions of ACPC-
 
1) The committee owns a responsibility of control, monitor and supervise the entire admission process.
2) The is required to act as per the rules and act made for the allocation of government seats and management seats to the students.
3) The committee has to release the merit list in accordance with the rules and acts framed by the government.
4) ACPC has to perform all the functions as directed by the state government through acts and rules.
 
ACPC perform the counselling for the following courses-
 
 
ACPC Registration:
 
1) The candidate has to first appear for the GUJCET exam.
2) On the basis of GUJCET marks, the student can apply for GUJCET counselling.
3) Check the ACPC dates for the respective course.
4) Register online for the respective course on the official site of ACPC.
5) Pay the fee for the online counselling.
6) Fill the ACPC Application form.
7) A password will be generated with User ID as the candidate's GUJCET exam roll number.
8) Using the user ID and password the candidate can do the online choice filling and locking for mock counselling.
9) In various rounds, the candidates will be allocated the ACPC accepting colleges for the desired course on the basis of ACPC merit list.

ACPC 2018 Eligibility

ACPC Eligibility Criteria:
 
ACPC B.Pharmacy Admission Eligibility Criteria involves the following conditions-
 
1) The candidate must have completed 10+2 standard from a recognized institution by the central or state government.
 
2) The candidate should have passed the 12th standard with minimum 45% for General category and minimum 40% for SC/ST and SEBC category in science stream.
 
3) In the Science stream, the candidate must have passed with three subjects including two compulsory subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry and one optional subject among Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology.
 
4) The candidate must have appeared in GUJCET-2017 before applying to Gujarat Counselling through ACPC.

ACPC 2018 Application Procedure

ACPC Application Procedure Details:
 
1) The students from all the recognized boards in the Gujarat state who have passed the Higher Secondary School in science stream have to log on to the official website of Gujarat ACPC for the Online Registration.
 
2) The candidates have to register new and have to select the course Degree/Diploma Pharmacy course.
 
3) On registering new, a window will appear that will ask for the details of the candidate like PIN cover printer on the Booklet, Name as per the GUJCET Marksheet and more.
 
4) The candidate will be asked to enter the ACPC password so that a new password can be generated for the future reference.
 
5) The application will ask for the verification of submission. Check every detailed filled to be correct and click on the Submit button.
 
6) Take the printout of the Application details that will help in future aspects.
 
7) Take the Printed copy of the registration to the nearby Help centre and submit the necessary documents and attachments.
 
8) The officer will verify and retain the self-attested copies of the documents and will provide the candidates with the registration slip.

Application Fee Details-
 
The candidate needs to purchase the PIN and Booklet from the designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank which is spread across the state of Gujrat. 
 
The Cost of PIN and Booklet Diploma/Degree Pharmacy is Rs. 350/-

ACPC 2018 Exam Pattern

ACPC Exam Pattern Details:
 
Every student who wants to apply for the Gujarat Counselling through ACPC 2017 has to appear for GUJCET 2017 exam. Here are the details of GUJCET 2017 Pharmacy exam pattern-
 
  • GUJCET (Gujrat Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the state government of Gujarat and is directed by the GSEB (Gujarat Secondary Education Board).
  • GUJCET exam paper is conducted in MCQ format, i.e. Multiple Choice Questions formats.
  • The GUJCET question paper comprises of 120 questions.
  • The time duration of this exam is 180 minutes or 3 hours.
  • The candidates appearing in the GUJCET exam has to encircle the right option in the OMR sheet.
  • The question paper is printed in three languages- English, Hindi and Gujarati. The candidate has the option to choose the medium of language. 
  • The GUJCET Question paper comprises of the questions in the following format-

The GUJCET marks are considered in the ACPC counselling process. A Candidate can not apply for ACPC 2017 without appearing in GUJCET 2017 exam.

ACPC Cut-Offs

ACPC Cutoff 2017:
 
1) The ACPC B.Pharmacy cutoff varies with the B.Phamacy colleges in the state.
 
2) Every ACPC B.Pharmacy college has an opening and a closing cutoff range.
 
3) Every ACPC B.Pharmacy college has the separate list for the General category, SC, ST, SEBC and DS.

ACPC 2018 Selection Procedure

ACPC Selection Procedure Details:
 
Following steps are followed to understand the ACPC Selection Procedure-
 
1) The candidate has to clear the 10+2 with government recognized institution. The minimum score criteria for 10+2 will be considered in the Gujarat Counselling through ACPC.
 
2) The candidate has to appear in GUJCET exam. The scores of GUJCET will be considered while in the counselling process.
 
3) The candidate has to apply for ACPC counselling online through the ACPC application form 2017 and also has to submit the 10+2 and GUJCET scores.
 
4) The ACPC finalize the seat matrix.
 
5) ACPC on a designated date releases the provisional merit list.
 
6) A mock round in conducted by the ACPC so that the candidates can get the full idea of the counselling process and the result of the mock round is declared.
 
7) Finally, the ACPC merit list is announced and the final list of the institutions and seat matrix are disclosed.
 
8) The candidates are given a chance to filter and alter the choice.
 
9) In the end, the final allotment list is declared.

Intake

Seat intake

The seat intake of the ACPC Bachelor of Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy includes the following seat categories-

1) TFWS

2) Management Quota

3) Nominee Seats

4) State Quota Unreserved

5) State Quota Researved

Total intake of seats by all the B.Pharmacy colleges of the state is around 7,000.

Reservation

ACPC Reservation Policy:
 
As per the government policy of the state government, some percentage of seats through ACPC are reserved for the candidates of the Gujarat Origin. Here are the percentage of reservations among various categories-
 
1) Scheduled Tribe- 7%
 
2) Scheduled Castes- 15%
 
3) Unreserved Economically Weaker Section- 10%
 
4) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes- 27%
 
The SC/ST and SEBC candidates are required to score minimum 40% in 10+2 against Unreserved candidates who have to score a minimum of 45% in 10+2.
