MAT Cutoff 2023

B-schools that consider MAT scores will conduct candidate shortlisting based on their specified cutoff criteria. The participating institutes in MAT will unveil their MAT 2023 cutoff soon after the MAT results are declared. In essence, candidates meeting the cutoff criteria are chosen for the subsequent selection process. MAT 2023 cutoff may be presented as either a percentile or a numerical score. The cutoff scores, ranging from 250 to 700, vary across different institutes. These cutoffs are influenced by multiple factors, such as the test's level of difficulty, the overall number of test-takers, the available seats in an institute, and more.

The table mentioned below displays the MAT Cutoff for admission to the 2023 batch.

MAT Exam Counselling Process 2023

The participating institutes will oversee the counseling process for MAT 2023, as AIMA does not manage this aspect. Once MAT results are declared, the counseling process will initiate, which will involve Group Discussion and Personal Interview components in the selection process.

Documents Required at Counselling

  • Admit card
  • Scorecard
  • Passport size photographs
  • Mark sheet and certificates of class 10, class 12 and bachelor's or master's degree (if applicable), work experience (if applicable)

MAT 2023 Selection Process

The MAT Entrance Exam 2023 selection process involves a written test, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). The written test is alternatively referred to as the Writing Ability Test (WAT). It's important to note that not all MAT 2023 participating institutes carry out all three stages of the selection process. Final admission is determined by the candidate's performance across all rounds of the MAT 2023 selection process. Additionally, certain institutes might take into account prior academic records (scores in 10th, 12th, and graduation), professional work experience, and other accomplishments when making the final admission offer.

MAT 2023 GD and PI Process

  • The MAT 2023 selection process encompasses Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) phases, which constitute a vital aspect for numerous participating institutes. These stages are typically executed to evaluate candidates' aptitude in interaction, communication, and self-assurance.
  • These rounds serve as a means to assess candidates' comprehension of current events, their perspectives on specific subjects or scenarios, and their ability to handle unfamiliar questions effectively.
  • Given that these rounds hold significance in the ultimate merit ranking, candidates are expected to exhibit comparable proficiency across these stages.

MAT 2023 Reservation Criteria

AIMA offers reservations to candidates based on its criteria. As per this reservation policy, MAT counseling process for 2023 allocates 15%, 7.5%, 27%, and 3% reservation to SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates respectively.
