CMAT Answer Keys

CMAT 2020 Study Material

Preparing for CMAT is a challenging and tough activity. CMAT has a very vast syllabus and the candidates should be able to prioritize and enable their preparation for the CMAT Examination in a right way. This can be done by ensuring that the preparation for CMAT Examination is in the right direction. A lot of study material on CMAT is being made available for students that are focused on a multitude of sections and topics. The books in general that are used to prepare for CMAT are the same as any other MBA entrance examination.

CMAT currently is being conducted on a yearly basis instead of twice a year. CMAT Examination would have 4 major sections that would be contributing to your score. Any section within the overall time limit can be attempted. A high score would be required to be scored in each of the sections so that a balanced overall score can be got by any student.

About 2-3 hours a day should be devoted by any student to crack CMAT 2018 with a high score in the examination. CMAT would not be requiring you to attempt all the questions perfectly but would be requiring you to at least maximize your correct attempts and minimize your errors on the examination. CMAT can be cracked with an intelligent approach in mind by the students. If half of the questions are attempted right, students would be able to get 90+percentile

Subject Experts

Subject experts in every domain like MBA entrance examinations have a clear understanding of the pattern of the exams that are conducted and accordingly provide tips which a candidate may make use of to do well in the CMAT examination.

Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation:  For Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, ‘Quantum CAT' by Sarvesh Verma book is written in simple language and has an adequate number of solved examples.

Logical Reasoning: ‘The Pearson Guide to Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation for CAT and other MBA Entrance Examinations' by Nishit K. Sinha, it starts with the fundamentals and then moves on to advanced levels. Logical Reasoning involves various cases to be considered and this book clearly explains all the cases involved in a particular question.

Language Comprehension: For vocabulary, ‘Six weeks to words of power' by Wilfred Funk, if followed religiously, it can expand your vocabulary in about 2 months. Though ‘Word Power Made Easy' is also recommended by Norman Lewis. For Reading Comprehension, solving 1-2 RC passages online on a daily basis. Websites like www.lofoya.comand cat.wordpandit.com give the candidates ample practice for the same. Also, reading articles related to various topics such as philosophy, sociology, history, art, literature etc. from www.aldaily.com really helps. This improves familiarity with various topics, thus increasing the speed of solving RCs.

General Awareness: For General Awareness, reading newspapers is a must.  A good amount of information is available in a condensed format. A very good site for GA preparation is www.gkedge.com. Make sure to spend only 10-15 minutes on GA during CMAT. Guesswork doesn't work here. You either know the answer or don't.

Exam Toppers

Saras Suhane had secured the first rank in CMAT exam in the year 2017. Saras had secured this laudable score only on the basis of his own preparation in midst of a demanding corporate job and had not invested time in coaching. Belonging to the state of Madhya Pradesh, he works for Infosys, Pune. Giving importance to every section along with having the necessary confidence to crack is his sutra for nailing the CMAT Examination Preparation.

Unlike other usual MBA Entrance exam toppers, Saras had not taken any other MBA entrance examination and chose to appear for CMAT alone. He worked with an aim to make every section that he is studying his strength and had similar strategies for across all sections.

AIR 2 Lagnajit Das is from NIT Rourkela and got a perfect 100 percentile in the Common Management Admission Test. The topper claims that this was possible on account of his efforts invested sincerely in studying with a positive wave of optimism. A lot of mock test practice and solving sample papers is the key according to him to do well in the examination.

CMAT toppers claim practice invested in mock question papers more than study is what helped them develop confidence in the course of CMAT exam preparation and do really well in the CMAT examination.
