All India Forensic Science Entrance Test, also known as AIFSET 2023 is a national level entrance examination which is conducted to enrol students into the forensic science courses to the participating universities. Candidates who wish to pursue their career in this field can apply for the programs by taking this examination. The duration of the program is three years for the bachelor's program and two years for a master's degree program.

AIFSET Eligibility Criteria

B. Sc. Forensic Science

Candidates applying for the exam must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in higher secondary school (10+2) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as the main subjects.  

M. Sc Forensic Science

Candidates applying for the exam must have secured a degree in B. Sc. in Forensic Science or B. Sc. in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 50% marks in aggregate. Students in final year of their graduation can also apply for the exam. The maximum number of times one can apply for the exam is three.

AIFSET 2023 Exam Pattern

AIFSET 2023 will be conducted in online mode.

  • The total duration of the exam is 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes.
  • AIFSET Question Paper will be in English language only.
  • Candidates will be given 1 mar for every correct answer and there is no negative marking.

Guidelines for AIFSET Exam

As per growing requests by students, the exam is set to be conducted in an online mode. To attempt the exam, candidates can use Mobile or Laptop or Desktop as per their choice.

Below mentioned are the guidelines for AIFSET Exam:

  • The exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • There will be 100 MCQs with one correct answer to be done in 60 minutes. Candidates will be awarded with 1 mark for every correct answer.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Candidates are required to appear at least 30 minutes prior to the examination.
  • They can also log in to the exam system using their email id and mobile number that they registered at the time of application form filling.
  • Candidates are also required to log in on the exam portal using a laptop or a desktop. The link of the exam portal is https://wheebox.com/AIFSET2023.
  • In order to avoid any malicious activities during the examination, the students will be continuously monitored though cameras, sounds, and browser activities. Additionally, the screen will be recorded during the examination.
  • Read the “TRAINING” section in the profile before they start to the examination.
  • Before starting the examination, students must read the examination manual that will be given to students' registered email address.

AIFSET Admit Card

Candidates can access their AIFSET Application login portal 48 hours before the scheduled AIFSET Exam Date to download admission cards.

The following information about the candidate will be printed on the Admit Card: Name, AIFSET Registration ID, Roll Number for AIFSET 2023, Date of Birth, Category, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination time, and directions to applicants.

AIFSET Result 2023

  • The results will be announced on June 27th, 2023.
  • AIFSET results will only be available on the AIFSET-2023 website. To view the results on the website, candidates must provide their user username and password (established during the registration procedure).
  • All candidates who took AIFSET 2023 will be able to receive their Scorecard from the official AIFSET 2023 website beginning on June 23, 2023.
  • Each candidate will receive a score. All qualified candidates will be considered for admission to participating universities/colleges.
  • The declared result is generated via digital medium, and enrollment in the course is subject to additional document verification. Candidates will be advised of the next steps in the admission process by email within three days of the results being announced.

B. Sc. Forensic Science

B. Sc forensic science is a three-year undergraduate programme that focuses on scientific applications and expertise that aid in criminal investigation. This course covers a wide range of topics, including how to thoroughly analyse and evaluate various objects at crime scenes, which are the most essential evidence. Analysis at crime scenes could include anything from bloodstains, soil, bones, fingerprints, data recovery from mobile phones, laptop computers, DNA profiling, and so on. Forensic Science is primarily a crime-scene science, although graduates are sometimes called upon in civil disputes, such as demonstrating the authenticity of a signature on a will or an essential document. Forensic scientists are also contacted when there is a possibility that the people involved are cutting corners.

M. Sc Foreign Science

The Master of Science in Forensic Science is a two-year postgraduate degree that is divided into four semesters. The training focuses on the investigation of crimes. It teaches pupils about assessing and identifying suspects using materials obtained at crime scenes. Through teaching and research, the course provides an in-depth grasp of forensic science fundamentals, policing, and criminal investigation. Students in the M.
