What is LFAT ?

University of Allahabad earlier has invited applications for admissions to Law Faculty Admission Test (LFAT) which will be conducted in May. LFAT is conducted by Faculty of Law for admissions to students in the integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (BA+LLB) programme.

LFAT 2017 Eligibility

Candidates who have cleared their 10+2 with a minimum of 45 per cent or have appeared this year are eligible to apply.

LFAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can download LFAT 2015 Admit Card from April 24, 2015 onwards. The University shall not be sending any admit card via post. Candidates need to note that in any case no candidate shall be allowed to appear in the undergraduate law entrance exam without a valid LFAT 2015 Admit Card. Candidates will also require to bring a photo-identity proof along with LFAT 2015 E-Admit Card while appearing for the law entrance test.

LFAT 2017 Exam Pattern

The papers shall be:
(i) Language Comprehension: The questions set shall aim at testing the knowledge of the candidate in English and Hindi language particularly in English Grammer and Composition. The question paper shall contain 80 questions relating to English language and 20 questions relating to Hindi language, and composition.
(ii) General Awareness and CurrentAffairs: The questions set shall aim at testing the general knowledge and awareness of the students about the current national and international affairs.
(iii) Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude: The questions set shall aim at testing reasoning power, the mental ability and the legal aptitude of the candidate

LFAT 2017 Selection Procedure

Candidates interested in applying for LFAT 2015 need to ensure eligibility criteria before filling in LFAT 2015 Online Application Form. Candidates need to have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination for five-year integrated law programmes with at least 45% of the total marks in aggregate of all subjects in the qualifying examination. The candidates need to attain a maximum age of 20 years as on July 1, 2015 to be considered eligible for the exam.

Documents to be Carried

Candidates who are eligible to appear in the exam will have to download their Admit Cards and get a print of it. Without valid LFAT Admit Card/Hall Ticket, no candidate will be allowed to take the exam.

Along with the Admit Card, candidates also need to carry their ID proof.

The Admit Card is not transferable to other person.

Candidates must keep the LFAT Admit Card till the admission process is completed
