About IIT Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, also known as IIT Delhi commenced its establishment in the academic year 1961. The institute has been declared as the "Institute of National Importantce" and grantedthe status of Deemed University.
Ever since the establishment of IIT Delhi, more than 48,000 people have graduated from covering various disciplines including engineering, physics, management, humanities and social sciences. Among them, about 5,070 have obtained a doctorate degree. The number of students with a Bachelor of Science degree exceeds 15,738; the rest have a master’s degree in engineering, science and business administration; these graduates now work as scientists, technologists, business managers and entrepreneurs; some graduates have left the original Discipline, turned to administrative services, active political or non-governmental organizations. In doing so, they have made significant contributions to the development of this country and the industrialization of the world.

IIT Delhi Courses
IIT Delhi Courses consist of various programs offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate level. These programs are offered under various specializations thus, allowing students to choose from a pool of options. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the institute must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute.
Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech must have passed class 12th in science stream.
For admission to M. Tech, candidates are required to possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Candidates seeking admission to M. Sc must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

IIT Delhi Admission Procedure

Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech program must have qualified JEE Advanced entrance examination conducted by the IITs.
Admission to M. Tech program is done based on candidates’ performance in GATE exam.
Candidates seeking admission to M. Sc program must possess a valid score in IIT JAM entrance examination.
For admission to M. Design program, candidates must possess a valid score in CEED entrance examination conducted at the national level.
Candidates seeking admission to MBA program must possess a valid score in CAT Exam conducted at the national level.

IIT Delhi Placements
The number of jobs offered at IIT Delhi in the academic year 2020 exceeded all the previous targets. In IIT Delhi Placement, around more than 1,100 jobs have been offered. According to the placement data released by the Institute, more than 430 organizations have registered for the 2019-2020 recruitment session. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has received more than 600 job opportunities for job profiles. Due to the COVID 19 outbreak, the final phase of the Delhi internship at the Indian Institute of Technology has been suspended. However, the institution was able to continue the second phase of the online internship, and about 100 students received job opportunities during this phase. The top recruiters who visited the Delhi campus of the Indian Institute of Technology this year include Microsoft, Intel, Goldman Sachs, Uber, Standard Chartered Bank, and Societe Generale.

A 320 acre of college campus spread is located in Hauz-Khas which held a great importance in the history of Delhi. The campus was designed in the way that it is surrounded by two major roads and two important education organizations, in east of the campus there is Sri Arbindo marg which connect most important part of the city and on north there is new ring road which connects Delhi to highways, on west and south part of the campus there is Jawaharlal Nehru University complex and National Council of Educational Research and Training respectively.

IIT Delhi Faculty
The faculty members of IIT Delhi include the famous poet and linguist Rukmini Bhaya Nair, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities, and experienced teachers from Stanford University. These faculties are behind the idea of the institute’s start-up company.
The college currently has a student ratio of 1:8 and has more than 654 faculty members. In 2016, the college’s student quota was 1:16. The college showed interest in promoting international students, and the pressure to increase throughput was reduced. Recent relationships reflect improvements in student status and teacher skills.

IIT Delhi Scholarship
IIT Delhi provides various scholarships, financial assistance and study support services for UG, PG and PhD students. Interested students can use the selection criteria to apply for the following scholarships.
Undergraduate Scholarships:
Free Merit-cum-Means Institute (MCM) Scholarships based on performance: The college provides 1,000 Indian rupees per month to approximately 25% of students. Provided to the engineering and technical students who deserve it.
Awards and certificates issued by the college: The best 7% of B. Tech students received INR 2,500 in the 8th and 10th semesters.
Scholarships awarded to SC/ST students: As part of this scholarship, SC/ST students are exempt from paying tuition. 4.5 Indian rupees per LPA. For IIT Delhi M. Tech., M. (research) and M. Des.
Postgraduate Scholarship
Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship: Master students can receive 1,000 Indian rupees per month, but only for students whose parents’ income is less than INR 4.5 LPA.
For M. Tech., M. (research) and M. Des students in IIT Delhi: Under the bursary scheme, these students will receive 12,400 Indian rupees per month.
Applicants: Full-time students can get an internship opportunity of 25,000 Indian rupees.

IIT Delhi Campus Overview:
The institute focuses mainly on maintaining a green zone inside the campus to give student fresh air and maximum healthy living. Most of the students own cycles to avoid air pollution, which is a priority concern for the people living in Delhi. For Faculty members and other staffs working in IIT-Delhi are accommodated inside the campus in a separate residential area which is on the opposite side from the student’s hostel

The zone is in the center of the campus to minimize walking distance for both students and faculty members.
