BSc Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is one of the most important factors that must be considered while taking admission to any desired program. Candidates who stand eligible as per the eligibility criteria defined by the institutes will be allowed to continue with the admission procedure. Students can pursue B. Sc. degree in both full time and part time modes. They must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university or college offering B. Sc. degree.

The basic eligibility to get admission to B. Sc. program is to have passed senior secondary school in Science stream from a recognized board.

BSc Admission Process
The admission procedure of B. Sc. may vary from one college to another depending on their requirements. Some of the colleges even offer many dual degree programs as well such as B. Sc. + M. Sc., B. Sc. + MBA, etc.
The admission procedure is usually carried out based on the merit list but there are some colleges that conduct entrance examination in order to shortlist students. Some of the entrance examinations include IAT IISER, OUAT, NEST, etc.

Merit Based Admission – Colleges such as Miranda House and Hindu College accepts application based on the marks secured by candidates in 12th class along with their cut off lists.

Entrance Based Admission – Some renowned universities such as Aligarh Muslim University, and Orissa University Agriculture and Technology accept application based on candidates' performance in the entrance examinations conducted by these universities. candidates are shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria defined by the university and selected candidates will be required to appear and qualify the entrance examination followed by personal interview round.

Types of BSc Courses
Full Time BSc Course
Full time BSc refers to where a student has to spend most of their time in classes and completing their graduation within a specified time. In the case of BSc, the time duration is three years and so a student is expected to complete the course by putting their utmost effort and pass the examinations with flying colors. A student of BSc enrolled full time will have to attend a minimum of 5 hour of class every weekday. (Depends from college to college)
Part Time BSc Course
Part time BSc is basically when a student has more flexibility to finish the course as per their time and convenience. Here, the student is not assigned any fixed number of hours required to complete the course. This mode of BSc is mostly preferred by working professionals and students enrolled in other degrees or pursuing other matters.
Distance/ Correspondence BSc Cou
In the distance BSc, the students have the freedom to learn things at their own pace without the compulsion to go college. Only time the student has to go to college is when they have to write their examination.

Admission in Bachelor of Science or Bsc is based either on merit or entrance. Many universities and colleges conduct their own entrance exams whereas few colleges take the national level or state level entrance score into consideration.
