What is MH CET ?

MHT CET 2018 would be conducted by DTE Maharashtra to admit candidates who are eligible to various Health Science, Law, Engineering and Management courses. MHT CET 2018 would be conducted by DTE Maharashtra to admit candidates who are eligible to various Health Science, Law, Engineering and Management courses. MH CET 2018 is a state level exam which would be conducted on May 10, 2018. The online MH CET Application Form can be accessed from the official website of DTE Maharashtra. 

A few points regarding the same should be kept in mind by the candidate:

  • Candidates, in case applying for a Bachelor Degree, should have passed Grade 12 examination from a recognized Board.
  • For PG Courses, candidates should obtain their Bachelor Degree from a recognized university.
  • The examination for all UG and Law courses would be conducted in an offline mode. 
  • Candidates would be appearing for a Computer Based Test for PG Examinations. 
  • Questions from Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry would be asked for Engineering, Health Sciences and Pharmacy of Grade 12 level. 
  • MH CET Results can be expected to be declared in the month of March 2018.
  • Once the results are declared, counseling procedure would begin along with the seat allotment which would be done by way of centralized allotment. 

The Admission to Engineering, Health Sciences and Pharmacy would be done on the basis of MH CET 2018. MH CET Application Forms would be available on the website from January 18, 2018. 

As per the MH CET Eligibility Criteria, the candidates would be required to satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Candidates must be an Indian national to be eligible to apply for MHCET 2018.
  2. There would be no age limit set for admission to MH CET 2018.
  3. Candidates should have passed High School Examination/ 12th Standard Examination or its equivalent. 

The MH CET Application is available online and the last date to fill the same would be March 25, 2018. The MH CET Application Procedure is as follows:

  1. The candidate can visit the official website and look for "Registration Link".
  2. The candidate can fill both his personal and academic details on the website.
  3. Once the Registration is successfully done, the passport copy can be scanned and signature can be given in the required dimensions. 
  4. The MH CET Bank Challan can be downloaded and the nearest SBI Branch can be visited in a span of 48 hours. 
  5. Once the Application Status is updated, the candidate can download and take a photocopy of MH CET Application Form. 

The following instructions would be required to be followed by the candidate for uploading photograph and signature:

  • A recent passport colour size photograph with a light background should be uploaded and the file size should be a maximum of 50 kb. 
  • The signature must be scanned on a white paper with black ink. The signatures should not be done in capital letters. 

The MH CET Application Fee is INR 860 and INR 660 for candidates belonging to a reserved category. The admission fee can be paid through a bank challan which would be taken to the nearest SBI Bank within a time span of 48 hours. Candidates would also be advised to keep a copy of the Bank Challan secure to complete the MH CET Application formalities.

MH CET 2018 Exam Pattern

MH CET 2018 is a State Level Entrance examination which would be conducted by Directorate of Tehnical Education, Government of Maharashtra on a yearly basis. The features of the MH CET Exam Pattern are as follows:

  • MH CET is usually scheduled from the second week of May 2018.
  • MH CET 2018 Examination would have different syllabus and the pattern would comprise of four papers.
  • The examination comprises of MH CET 2018, MH CET Law 2018, MAH MBA 2018 and MAH MCA 2018 Examination. 
  • The examination would be a pen and paper (offline based) MCQ Based examination. 
  • For Engineering and Pharmacy, the examination would be based on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. 
  • For MBA, the exam has been designed to suit the capability of the candidate.

The MH CET Admit Card would be only available in an online mode and candidates would be required to keep a regular check on website to stay updated on the same. 

After the examination, MH CET Result would be released in the form of a scorecard which can be downloaded from the official website. 

The features of MH CET Exam Pattern are as follows:

  • Examination Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)
  • Number of Papers: 4
  • Number of Sections- 2-4
  • Question Paper Type: 200 for all apart from 150 for Law and 100 for MCA
  • Duration: 90-160 mins

MH CET 2018 Eligibility

DTE Maharashtra released the MH CET Eligibility Criteria for defining the eligibility conditions which the aspiring candidates would be considering to be eligible for State Level Engineering examination. The eligibility criteria of MH CET includes the requirements relating to domicile, age, qualification, qualifying examination and the marks that have been scored.  For admissions in the participating institutes of the state level engineering entrance examination, all aspirants must fulfill the MH CET Eligibility Criteria concerned with every aspect. Prior to filling the MH CET Application form, the candidates should check if they have fulfilled the MH CET Eligibility Criteria. 

Candidates found ineligible at any stage of the MH CET Application Procedure would be disqualified, even if they qualify the examination. As per DTE Maharashtra, 85% of the seats in private unaided engineering institutes in Maharashtra shall be filled through MH CET, 15% seats shall be filled/ reserved for All India Quota that would be based on MH CET. 

MH CET Eligibility Criteria in detail are as follows:

  • Indian Nationals who have passed HSC/ 12th Grade exam or its equivalent are eligible for appearing in MH CET 2018. 
  • There would be no age limit for appearing in MH CET 2018. There is no restriction about passing the examination in a particular year. 
  • Candidates appearing in Grade 12 or equivalent in 2018 would be eligible for writing MH CET 2018.

MH CET 2018 Admit Card

Candidates can download the MH CET Admit Card from the official website as per the schedule given on the same website. It is expected that DTE Maharashtra or State CET would issue Maharashtra CET Admit card a few weeks before the MH CET Examination. The soft copy of the MH CET Admit Card would be required to be printed on the paper to get a hard copy, and which can be carried into the examination hall. Details printed on the MH CET Admit Card are of immense importance, such as roll number would be required to check the MH CET Result. 

MH CET 2018 Admit Card would be available as per schedule. The MH CET Examination would be conducted on May 10, 2018. The MH CET Admit card would be issued by the Directorate of Technical Education in an online mode on the official website. Candidates would be able to download the MH CET Admit card once they log in. MH CET participants should note that admit card of the state level engineering exam would be available for registered candidates. MH CET Admit card shall keep the candidate informed about the roll number, registration number, signature, name and address of the examination center. 

The MH CET Test takes would be required to carry this document compulsorily with them as their entry pass to the examination hall. This should be carried along with a printout of the application form and a valid Photo ID. The candidates should note that ration card would not be admissible as an ID Proof. The MH CET Important dates for 2018 are as follows:

  • Issue of Admit Card: 24 April 2018 to 10 May 2018
  • Entrance examination Date: 10 May 2018

MH CET 2018 Result

MH CET Result will be announced after the successful commencement of MH CET Exam. MH CET 2018 Results will be declared by DTE Maharashtra tentatively in the month of June 2018. The results are supposed to announce in the 1st week of June 2018. All eligible candicdates, who have appeared for the entrance exam can download their score card. The result will only be available in Online mode, No hard copies will be sent to the candidates.
