CBSE has released the CBSE Class 12 Syllabus for the session 2022–23. There won't be any term-based exams from the upcoming session as the material has only been issued for one common exam. Students can visit the CBSE official website to download the syllabus.
In contrast to the term-wise category of the previous year's curriculum, the curriculum for this year is not divided into terms. This certainly demonstrates that the board will administer a single exam in AY2022-23. The board has however continued to retain the total syllabus reduction of 30%.
Every year, CBSE organizes Class 12 exams in offline mode for the students studying in Class 12. Candidates who have passed their Class 11 exams from any recognized educational board and completed a full year of study in Class 12 are eligible to appear in the CBSE class 12 board exams. Students must pay the examination fees to enroll in these CBSE examinations.
Also, CBSE stated that students who failed to appear for examinations of both Term 1 and Term 2 will not be permitted to sit for the compartmental examinations since Class 12 compartment exams are held on one single day, and will have to repeat Class 12. For Class 10, compartment exams are organized over a period of 7 days.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams were conducted between 26th April to 15th June 2022. The CBSE board proposed a different Exam Pattern due to the COVID-19 impact. As per the new exam pattern, the syllabus is bifurcated into two parts that are 50% of Term 1 and 50% of Term 2. The duration of the CBSE 12th Board Exam was 3 hours. The percentage of MCQs was around 30% and the number of application-based questions was even less.
Under the current scenario when COVID cases are subsiding, there is speculation to move back to the pre-covid exam pattern with one final exam, instead of two. CBSE might implement the previous exam pattern for the upcoming session.
