NEET UG 2019 Registration Will Start From November on nta.ac.in

For NEET 2019 Examination which is scheduled to be conducted on May 6, 2019, the registration process for the same will start from November 1, 2018. Like JEE Mains which is a national level engineering entrance examination the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will also be conducted by the newly formed authority by the government i.e. National Testing Agency (NTA).  Until May 2018 the NEET was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

neet-ug-2019-registration NEET is the entrance examination conducted annually for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses in the Medical or Dental Colleges in the country is regulated with the approval of Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India run under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The NEET score will not be held valid for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER.

NTA was established with the perspective to appoint a single body responsible for conducting the major entrance examination in the country. In the earlier stage of establishment Ministry of Human Resource and Development had suggested conducting the examination twice a year to provide more opportunities to the candidate. However, with the intervention of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare the suggestion to conduct NEET twice a year is scraped realizing the pressure, it will put the students on.

In the new notification, it is mentioned that the coming NEET exam will be an annual exam like previous years and the NEET 2019 exam will be held in pen paper mode unlike JEE main which will be conducted online. There is no changes in the pattern of the examination also the like last year the exam will be conducted in the same number of languages in all the state even after there were concerned raised in Tamilnadu to exempt NEET from the state.

NEET UG 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours in 3 sections including physics, chemistry and biology.
  • The total number of questions will be 180 with 90 questions from biology segment and 45 questions from physics and chemistry respectively.
  • For every correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted which is subject to negative marking in case of wrong answers.
  • There is no negative marking for questions not attempted.

Recently in an order passed by honourable Supreme Court of India, it is stated that Aadhaar card is not mandatory for school admissions, CBSE, NEET and UGC exams
