National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the schedule for JEE Main 2019 and the 1st part of the exam will be conducted from 6th to 20th January 2019. As per the guidelines of NTA from coming years, the exam will be conducted in online mode and students have to fill the entire answer sheet online at their allotted examination centres.
Before Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2019), all the other previous JEE exams had options for the students to choose from the pen-paper mode and computer-based examination and the exams were conducted in both the exam patterns. From this year the exam pattern for all the registered students has been revised and the exam will fully be conducted in the computer-based online pattern.
However this year there is an exception also, for part 1 of JEE Main 2019 to be conducted for B.Tech, BE, B.Arch. and B.Planning the exam is completely based on the computer. For the 2nd part of JEE Main 2019, the exam will be partially based on computer and partially on pen-paper mode. Paper II has three parts:
-
Mathematics
-
Aptitude Test, and
-
Drawing Test
Out of these 3, the 1st two parts Mathematics and Aptitude Test are fully computerized and the candidate needs to attempt the same online. The 3rd part which is Drawing, this is the part to be conducted offline and the candidate will have to take the exam on drawing sheet provided by respective examination centres.
JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in the window of January 6 to January 20 divided into two sessions. Paper 1 will be conducted each day of the slot while for Paper II only one shift is allotted and will be held in one shift, students would have to complete all three parts in one sitting.
