Madras Medical College (MMC), Chennai famously known as MMC College Chennai is the third oldest medical college in India which was established in 1835 by the then Governor of Madras, Sir Fredrick Adams. In 1857, the college was affiliated to the University of Madras. It was one of the pioneer institutions that provided women along with men with medical education. Mary Ann Dacomb Scharlieb was the first woman in the world that be admitted to a medical college, that is in MMC hence the college has a name in history. Admission to MMC Chennai takes place through the NEET exam conducted at the national level for some programs and for the rest, it is based on merit as well as TNPCEE score.

Admission in courses such as B. Pharmacy, BPT, and B. Sc is based on 10+2 marks, candidates who have qualified TNPCEE are also eligible.
15 percent of seats for MBBS are filled through NEET counseling, whereas 85% of seats are reserved for state quota.
50% of seats for courses such as PG Diploma, MD, and MS are filled via NEET PG counseling, and the rest through state quota.
If candidates meet the eligibility criteria, they will be called for a counseling session with all the necessary documents for verification.
After counseling and verification of documents, they will need to pay the admission fee for the desired course.
