JEE Main 2019: Registration commences from February 8

JEE MAIN registration forms will be releasing on 8th February 2019 and the last date of registration for Joint Entrance Exam is on 7th March 2019. This exam is conducted by NTA twice a year and the examination forms of JEE are available online (you can fill the form online and you can pay online).

Now the most important thing is to check for the JEE Main eligibility criteria. There are few more things that have been revised in JEE MAINS by the NTA, as from 2019 onwards there will be no age limit in this exam, so that means if you qualify the eligibility criteria of age less than 24 years then you are eligible to enter into this exam. Now there will be no need to get your forms signed by your parent.   

This year the registration fees have been also revised and while filling up the form you need to have either Ration card number, Aadhar card, Pan card, Passport number or any other government valid identity proof. If aspirants don't find themselves familiar enough to submit their application form of JEE MAIN 2019 can now do it better as our Prime Minister has taken up the initiative under Digital India, so now you can keep yourself informed with the services of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

IMPORTANT DATES OF JEE MAIN 2019 (for the April session):

  • REGISTRATION STARTS ON – 8TH FEBRUARY 2019
  • REGISTRATION ENDS ON – 7TH MARCH 2019
  • LAST DATE TO PAY THE FEES – yet to be notified
  • SPAN OF EXAM - examination will be conducted from April 7 to 21, 2019. During this period exam will be conducted for 8 times, so aspirants should choose the date wisely with their comfort.
  • RESULTS - results of JEE MAINS are expected to release in May 2019.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR JEE MAIN 2019:

  • General category candidate – DOB should be after 1st October 1994
  • SC/ST candidate and PWD candidate have a relaxation of 5 years.
  • Candidate must have done their higher secondary with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • The candidate who has completed 12th must have qualified in the exam with 5 subjects, because if you have 4 subjects then you won't qualify the eligibility.
  • Aspirants who have passed 12th after 2016 or those candidates who are appearing for the exam in 2019 are eligible for JEE Main 2019.
  • Aspirants who have already appeared on or before 2016 for the JEE Main exam and the aspirants who are appearing after 2020 are not at all eligible.
  • General category candidate should have at least 75% (or they should be under top 20 percentile) to get int IIT / NIIT / IIT
  • SC/ST/PWD candidates can have 65% marks to get int IIT / NIIT / IIT.
  • None of the aspirants can take this exam for more than 3 times (there is no relaxation here for any category or for any domicile)
  • All the candidate should fall under the age category of not more than 24 years.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED IN JEE MAIN ENTRANCE EXAM:

  • Signature in JPEG format.
  • Photograph in JPEG format.
  • Aadhar card
  • Domicile certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • Class 10 certificate

FEES STRUCTURE:

Fees can be paid either for one exam or aspirants can pay together for both the exam:

For single paper (Indian):

  • For general/ OBCs (male) – 1000
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Girls – 500

For single paper (foreigner):

  • For general/ OBCs (male) – 25000
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Girls – 1250

For both papers (Indian):

  • For general/ OBCs (male) – 1800
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Girls – 900

For both papers (foreigner):

  • For general/ OBCs (male) – 3800
  • For SC/ST/PWD/Girls – 1900

NEW THINGS IN JEE MAIN 2019:

  • Aadhaar card: All the JEE aspirant must have Aadhar car along with them while filling up for the Joint Entrance Exam 2019 and if you are a foreign aspirant then you should carry a passport with you.
  • Class 12th marks criteria have been removed: In previous years 12th marks were given a lot of importance while calculating All India Rank in JEE Main exam but in 2019 JEE has removed this criterion.
  • Special alerts for students registering from Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam – All the aspirants from these states must have the following document while filling up the application form of JEE Main 2019 - passport, bank account number, ration card, pan card or any other govt. id number. Make sure to choose the centers in these cities only
