The Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (ICT Mumbai), a Deemed to be University, came into existence in the year 1933. The institute was established as the Department of Chemical Technology by the University of Mumbai. Many industries and philanthropists helped actively during the commencement of the institute. It was previously known as the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT). The main objective of establishing the institute was to provide focused training and research in several branches of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, and Pharmacy.

  • MHT CET stands for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test conducted to ensure admission to B. Tech.
  • For admission to B. Pharm, the candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in MHT CET.
  • Admission to Integrated M. Tech (Chemical Engineering) is done based on candidates' performance in MHT CET or JEE Main examination.

Admission to M. Tech, M. Pharm, and M. Sc Programs

  • For admission to M. Sc, the candidates must possess a B. Sc degree in the relevant filed securing 55% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates seeking admission to M. Pharm must possess a B. Sc degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For Ph. D. Program

  • Candidates seeking admission to the Ph. D. program in Technology must possess a master's degree in Engineering/Technology with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
  • For those seeking admission to the Ph. D. program in Science, it is must to possess a bachelor's degree in M. Sc in the relevant field securing at least 55% marks in aggregate.
