The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates on the official website soon. The JEE Main important dates were released through an official notice by the NTA. These events include application process, admit card, IIT JEE 2026 Session 2 Paper, results, etc.
The JEE Main session 1 registration will most probably begin in October 2025, and the last date to apply for JEE Main 2026 Registration session 1 will most likely be in December 2026. According to JEE Main Exam Timings, shift 1 of JEE Main Exam is usually conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while shift 2 is conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.

JEE Main Dates 2025 → JoSAA Counselling Dates and Events
The JoSAA counselling is currently ongoing and the result for the last round of seat allotment will be announced on 21st July for all IITs, while the overall process shall conclude on 28th July 2025 for NITs and other systems. There will be two shifts in which the JEE Main 2026 Exam will be conducted i.e. Shift 1 and Shift 2. JEE Main 2026 Application Form Dates
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Registration are expected to begin in October 2026. Students are required to visit the official website of the JEE Main NTA . Interested candidates could register themselves by filling up the application form of JEE main 2026. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam.
JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Date
NTA provides the facility to make corrections in theJEE Main Application form 2026. Candidates who wish to change the information in the application form or modify any details can use the JEE Main form correction facility to make the changes/modifications. The JEE Main image correction window will also be provided separately, beside the application correction facility. The NTA will activate theJEE Main correction window 2026after the completion of JEE Main 2026 application form last date.

JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026
NTA will release the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2026 a few days before the exam date. JEE Mains 2026 Exam city allotment will be announced online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The city intimation slip mentions details of the exam date and exam city of the candidate. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from admit card.
JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Release Date
It is expected that the examination conducting authority will release the JEE Main Admit Card at least 3-4 days before the examination is commenced.

NTA conducts JEE Main Exam in two shifts i.e. Morning and Afternoon. Both the shifts are conducted for 3 hours each. However, the students appearing in both the papers will be given extra 30 minutes to complete the test.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Date
The JEE Main Final Answer Key 2026 is released by the authorities a few days after the exam is conducted. The answer key of JEE Main is released on the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will announce the release date of JEE Main 2026 Answer Key online. After the release of the answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their expected marks using which they can predict their ranks. Besides, the authorities will also let students raise objections in their respective answer keys. The answer key challenge window will be made live after the released of JEE Main Provisional Answer Key.
JEE Main 2026 Result Date
NTA will release JEE Main Result on the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main Result Date for Session 1 result for 2025 was announced by NTA on February 12, 2026. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main Result on the official website using their login credentials such as application number and password (date of birth). In order to avoid any confusion. Candidates qualifying the examination after the declaration of result of JEE Main Exam will be considered eligible to appear in counselling and seat allotment process conducted for admission to colleges.
JEE Main 2026 Counselling Date
The Joint Seat Allocation authority (JoSAA) conducts the JEE Main counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Main are eligible to participate in the counselling for admission to all the participating institutes of JoSAA through JEE Main scores. To participate in the counselling, candidates have to register online on the website and fill in their choices of their preferred institutes and branches.
Candidates must go through JoSAA eligibility criteria before appearing in the counselling process. Candidates allotted seats through JoSAA counselling must confirm their admission online and deposit the fees as per the date mentioned in their provisional allotment letter.
To register for the JoSAA candidates will must have a valid JEE Main score. Candidates with a rank in JEE Advanced will be admitted to IITs through JoSAA. Admissions to all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and GFTIs will be through JoSAA counselling. Post doing the formalities, for candidates will be able to get admission into NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs as well as other participating colleges of JoSAA.
Candidates will be allotted seats through JoSAA and they must exercise the freeze/float/slide option and confirm their admission by the last date. The allotment of seats will be based on choices filled by the candidates during JoSAA registration.
