JEE Main 2020 Admit Card

The National Testing Agency (NTA) being the conducting body of JEE Main examination would release the admit card of exam on 6th December 2019 on the official website of JEE Main. Since the admit card would be released through online mode, it can only be downloaded by visiting the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in. Students who have successfully registered for JEE Main 2020 within the stipulated time along with the payment of application fee can download their respective cards by either entering their application number and password or application number and date of birth. JEE Main 2020 Admit Card would consist of basic details concerning Exam such as Exam Timing, Exam Center/Venue, Photograph and Signature of candidate. Candidates are advised to go through the important instructions mentioned on the admit card leaf.

Note* Candidates must check if the details printed on their admit cards are correct or not as any incorrect detail may lead to cancellation of candidature and refrain candidates from entering the examination hall. In case any discrepancy is found, candidates can report to the concerned authority of the National Testing Agency.

JEE Main 2020 is scheduled to be conducted in two sessions i.e. in the month of January 2020 and April 2020. It will be a computer-based test conducted online. JEE Main 2020 Admit Card is one of the most important documents students must carry in order to enter the examination hall. Candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof and a passport sized color photographs along with their hall ticket. The result for JEE Main 2020 January is scheduled to be released on 31st January 2020.

Candidates applying for JEE Main 2020 must be aware of importance of JEE Main Admit Card/Hall Ticket and must keep in mind the below mentioned points before appearing for the examination:

  • There would be no duplicate JEE Main Admit Cards at the examination center.

  • Candidates with incomplete applications would not be issued admit cards.

How to Download JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?

The National Testing Agency which is the conducting body of JEE Main 2020 Examination has decided to release JEE Main 2020 Admit Card on 6th December 2019. The admit card would be made live through online mode i.e. on the official website of JEE Main. The admit cards are not sent by post or any other means. Candidates can visit the official website of JEE Main in order to download their respective admit cards.

The admit card for JEE Main can be downloaded using two methods and these methods include logging in by entering:

  • Application Number and Password
  • Application Number and Date of Birth

The first step towards downloading the admit card is to visit the official website of JEE Main. Following are the steps one must follow to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in.
  • Click on the link available online for downloading admit card.
  • Now there are two options to download the admit card:
    • Through Application number and password or
    • Through Application number and date of birth
  • Choose any of the options to download the admit card.

Error in JEE Main 2020 Admit Card?

Candidates must ensure if the details mentioned on their admit cards are correct or not. Any discrepancy in the admit card may prevent students from entering the examination hall or it may become an issue while appearing for the examination. The photograph and signature image uploaded by candidate during the time of registration should be clearly visible.

Don't Remember Application Number of JEE Main 2020?

This is normal if a candidate fails to retain his/her application number for long, but it is an important to have information to download your admit card. While downloading the admit card (provided not having known your application number), the candidates can follow the below mentioned points:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2020.
  • Click on “I can't access my account”.
  • Select “I forgot my application number” tab.
  • Another window appears with the following details in it:
    • Candidate's Name
    • Mother's Name
    • Father's Name
    • Date of Birth
    • State of Eligibility
    • Security Pin

Note* The application number will be sent to candidates on their registered email id and they can use it to download their admit card.

Candidates can save their admit card for future reference.

Don't Remember Password of JEE Main 2020?

In case you don't remember your JEE Main 2020 password, you can follow the below mentioned steps and recover the password:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2020.
  • Click on “I can't access my account”.
  • Select “I forgot my password” tab.
  • Another window appears where students are required to choose how to reset their password. Students can reset their password using:
    • A security question
    • A verification code sent via SMS to the mobile number registered by them during registration
    • A reset link to reset the password sent to registered email id.

Note* Candidates can reset their password by going through the above-mentioned steps and save their downloaded admit card for future reference.

Documents to be carried with JEE Main 2020 Admit Card

On the day of examination, the candidates must carry their admit card as it is one of the essential documents, they must show before entering the examination hall. Students are required to bring the below mentioned documents along with their admit card:

Passport sized photograph (as same as the one uploaded during registration)

Valid photo id such as voter id, passport, aadhar card, PAN card, driving license, ration card

PwD certificate (if required)

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card – Exam Daye Instructions

For students appearing for JEE Main 2020, it is mandatory to follow the instructions written over the admit card leaf. Following are the instructions that students must follow on the day of examination:

  • Candidates should reach the examination venue at least two hours prior the examination starts.
  • If possible, it would be advised to visit the examination center one time before the examination date. This could save students a lot of time and any last minute hustle can be avoided.
  • Candidates must carry their admit card along with all the important documents.
  • Candidates mustn't bring any prohibited items to the examination center.

Prohibited Items for JEE Main Exam Hall

There are a few items listed by the National Testing Agency as prohibited ones i.e. the candidates appearing for JEE Main 2020 must not bring these items to the examination center. Following is the list of such items:

  • Electronic Gadget or Calculator
  • Instrument, Geometry or Pencil Box
  • Any Metallic Item
  • Camera or Tape Recorder
  • Mobile Phone, Earphones, Microphone, or Pager
  • Eatables
  • Paper or Stationery
  • Handbag or Purse
