Is The New Schedule of JEE Main 2020 Released by NTA? Read to Know More!

JEE Main 2020 Dates - The pandemic Coronavirus outbreak across the world has severely affected the education system and many entrance examinations along with CBSE Board and other state board examinations have been postponed considering the current situation. All the academic institutions have been shut down so as to prevent COVID-19 spread amongst students. Though the admission procedure of various institutions is ongoing, yet the procedure is conducted through online mode thus, maintaining no-contact policy amongst citizens of the country. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus hit India right before the board examinations of class 10^th and 12^th were supposed to get concluded.

There are many national level entrance examinations such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), JEE Advanced, and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) that have been postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted during the month of April 2020 and May 2020, but the examination dates have now been postponed and no revised schedules have been released yet.

JEE Main 2020

When Will JEE Main 2020 Be Held?

As we all know, JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year during two sessions i.e. January and April. JEE Main 2020 for January session was successfully conducted from 6^th January 2020 to 9^th January 2020. JEE Main 2020 for April session was scheduled to be conducted from 5^th April 2020 to 11^th April 2020 and dates have now been postponed and no new dates have been disclosed by the authorities yet.

The National Testing Agency which is the conducting body of JEE Main Examination rescheduled the examination twice but unable to conduct it due to the lockdown across the country by Indian Government. The application procedure of JEE Main 2020 for April session was completed way before the lockdown.

The minister of Human Resource and Development (HRD), Ramesh Pokhriyal, recently tweeted that JEE Main Exam is likely to be conducted during the 2^nd and 3^rd week of June 2020.
The decision has been taken to curb the effects and spread of Coronavirus across the country.

Note* NTA has also extended the deadline of correction window for JEE Main aspirants until 3^rd May 2020. Students can visit Deadline of Application Correction Window for JEE Main 2020 and NEET UG 2020 Extended Till 3rd May to make changes if required.

NTA released a notification on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in disclosing the new and revised schedule to JEE Main 2020 April. Though the exact dates haven't been released, yet it gives students an idea of when this examination could be conducted.

Students must note that the exact dates of the exam will be announced after assessing the situation which is yet to come in the coming weeks.
