JEE Main 2020 – The National Testing Agency on 14th April 2020 decided to extend the deadline of the application correction window for JEE Main 2020 as well as NEET UG 2020 Exam previously scheduled to be conducted during the month of April and May respectively and were later postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. There is an official notice issued on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in which clearly states that the lockdown has been extended till 3rd May 2020 due to Coronavirus pandemic outbreak which has led to extension of deadline. JEE Main April 2020 and NEET UG 2020 exams are scheduled to be held during the last week of May 2020.

The application correction window for JEE Main as well as NEET UG exam has been made available until the lockdown ends i.e. 3rd May 2020. Ramesh Pokhriyal, the minister of Human Resource Development tweeted to make the announcement of news concerning extended deadline of JEE Main 2020 and NEET UG 2020 Exams.

According to the official notice issued on the website of JEE Main, the decision of extending the deadline of application correction window for JEE Main 2020 April examination was taken due to the continuous requests received from aspirants and their parents.
The official notification reads:
“The NTA will make efforts to allot city of examination to candidates in order of choices now opted by them in their application form. However, due to administrative reasons, a different city may be allotted and the decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Center shall be final.”
The National Testing Agency which is the conducting body of JEE Main as well as NEET UG will make all the possible efforts to ensure that the students appearing in the examination are allotted exam center city as per their choice of preference and convenience. These measures are being take in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus amongst students and thus keeping them safe from such pandemic.
