Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE)  is framed & conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The exam is conducted for intake of candidates in the first year of B.tech, MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. (Agriculture), BVSc & A.H. & BHMS. The application procedure for JCECE 2018 will begin from April 2018 and the JCECE application forms would be made available in the month of April 2018 on the official website of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The JCECE Admit Cards will likely to be released in the month of May 2018, and the JCECE written exam would be conducted in the month June 2018.

JCECE 2018 Exam Pattern

JCECE is a offline mutiple choice objective type test. The test will consist of three section- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics. JCECE 2018 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria vary according to the course applied by the candidate.

  • The age of the candidates seeking admission in medical courses should not be less than 17 years of age or must reach the required age by 31 December 2018.
  • There is no age limit for candidates applying for engineering courses.
  • Candidates should have passed class 12 from Jharkhand Board or equivalents such as I.S.C or C.B.S.E with an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST) with Mathematics and Physics as a compulsory subject.along with Chemistry as a third subject.

JCECE 2018 Selection Procedure

Candidates are selected on the basis of their JCECE rank. The JCECE Board will prepare the Combined merit list and Category wise merit list of the candidates who have appeared for the examination. A list of the candidates will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the order of merit for allotment of seats.

JCECE 2018 Admit Card

JCECE 2018 Admit card will be issued by the board in the first week of May 2018. One can download the admit card from the official site of JCECE. The admit card will contain the relevant information of the exam and personal information of the candidate. It is mandatory for students to carry the JCECE 2018 Admit Card while appearing for the exam.

Candidates have to carry the JCECE 2018 Admit card along with an ID proof while appearing for the exam. 

Documents to be carried at the time of counselling

1. Class X and XII mark sheet & admit card along with Passing Certificate.
2. JCECE 2018 Admit Card or the F.I.R copy (in the case of loss of admit card).
3. Caste certificate, Counseling letter & Income Certificate issued by the competent authority.
4. The Dependency certificate issued by the competent Army Officer
5. 01 postcard & 06 passport size photographs
6. The Discharge Certificate (if applicable) IPension Book (only applicable to those who wish to claim seat under SMQ Quota)

JCECE 2018 Counseling Details

JCECE Counselling 2018

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their JCECE rank for the counselling. The counselling will commence in the first week of July 2018. The whole process of counseling will be carried out via Computerized Distributed Parallel procedure.

The counselling fee is applicable as follows:

General category / backward class – I & II category - INR 750

SC / ST Category - INR 500

The allocation of the seats will be done to the candidates through the various rounds of counseling and once the candidate accepts the seat, he or she is supposed to remit Rs. 1000, as seat acceptance fee via D.D., drawn in the favor of “Controller of Examination, JCECEB” and payable at Ranchi.

Reservation

JCECE 2017 Reservation Criteria-

  • Scheduled Castes: 10%
  • Scheduled Tribes: 26%
  • OBC: 14%

Physically Handicapped Candidates: Physically handicapped candidates having minimum disability of 40% are eligible for the reservation (only in govt. degree engineering institutes).

TFW Scheme: According to provisions of All Indian Council of Technical Institution, a Tuition Fee Waiver on 5% seats is there. Submission of proper proofs of income is required to claim this.

JCECE Cut-Offs

JCECE cut off depends on several factors like Availability of seats,choice of a stream, the level of difficulty of the exam. It will be released on the official website after declaration of results.

The cut off is generally the last rank at which the admission closes in a particular college for a particular stream.There will be 2 seperate lists -General Merit List and Category wise merit list.The candidates seeking admission in computer science engineering and Information technology courses need to score well and secure ranks within first 200 – 300 ranks in the merit list. Electronic & Communication Engineering is also expected to have a fairly high cutoff.
