JEE Main 2019: NTA Issues Important Notification for Abroad Students

JEE Main April 2019 is scheduled to be conducted from April 7, 2019. During the previous session of JEE Main, some candidates from abroad reported the examination centres according to the local time. Whereas according to the National Testing Agency, the candidates were required to report the examination centre as per the Indian Standard Time (IST). The candidates who reached the examination centre as per local time could not appear for JEE Main January 2019.

Important Notification Issued by NTA for Abroad Students:

According to the notification released by the NTA, the candidates appearing for JEE Main April session in the cities abroad must reach the examination centre well in advance as per IST as mentioned in JEE Main April 2019 Admit Card.

The candidates must carry JEE Main Admit Card to the examination centre on the day of examination. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a hardcopy of JEE Main Admit Card 2019.

About JEE Main:

Joint Entrance Examination Main i.e. JEE Main is the national-level engineering entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency from 2019 onwards. Earlier, the examination was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The examination is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board. The candidate must have passed class XII with a minimum of 75% aggregate or be in the top 20 percentile in the class XII examination. A relaxation of 5% is provided to the candidates of the reserved category.
