CUCET 2018 is an entrance examination which provides admission in 11 central universities i.e. University of Haryana, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Jammu, Karnataka, South Bihar, Kerala, Rajasthan and Bengaluru Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE). CUCET is a national level entrance examination for admissions in numerous Under Graduate, Post Graduate and research programmes offered by these universities.

CUCET 2018 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for all 11-universities accepting CUCET 2018 is following:

For B. Tech. Courses- The candidate must possess a minimum of 50 % marks in class 12 or equivalent from the recognized board. Candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/SC/OBC) will be provided with 5% relaxation which means the candidates of Reserved Category must score a minimum of 45% marks in class 12th. The Candidates appearing for class 12 examination can also apply for CUCET 2018.

For M. Tech. Courses- The candidate must possess a minimum of 60 % marks in B. Tech./ B.E./ M. Sc. From the recognized university. Candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/SC/OBC) will be provided with 5% relaxation, which means the candidate of Reserved Category must possess a minimum of 55% marks in Graduation. The candidates of the Final year of Graduation can also apply for CUCET 2018.

For MBA Courses- The candidate must possess a minimum of 50 % marks in bachelor's degree. Candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/SC/OBC) will be provided with 5% relaxation i.e. the candidate of Reserved Category must possess a minimum of 45% marks in Bachelors. The candidate in the final year can also apply for the examination.      

CUCET 2018 Application Procedure

The CUCET Online Registration comprises of following steps:

  • The candidates aspiring to appear for CUCET 2018 can apply on the official website of CUCET
  • The applications for the academic year 2018 was released on February 19, 2018.
  • The last date for submission of application form was April 2, 2018.
  • The candidate is required to fill all the required details on the application form such as personal details, academic details, etc.
  • The step will be uploading the scanned images of the candidate's photograph and signature.
  • After uploading the images, the application fees should be paid either through online mode or offline mode.
  • Once the application procedure is complete, download the application form and take a print out for future reference.

  • Candidates belonging to General Category are required to Pay Rs. 800 for three PUs (payment through online mode)
  • Candidates belonging to Reserved Category are required to Pay Rs. 350 for three PUs (payment through online mode)

CUCET 2018 Admit Card

CUCET 2018 Admit Cards were released on April 13, 2018. The registered candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of CUCET 2018.

Steps to download CUCET 2018 Admit Cards:

  1. Visit the official website i.e. https://cucetexam.in and click on ‘Download Admit Card' option.
  2. Enter the registered ID and password, Admit Card will appear on the screen.
  3. Check the details and download the admit card
  4. Candidates must take the print out of admit card for future reference.

CUCET 2018 Exam Pattern

  • CUCET 2018 examination comprises of two papers i.e. Part A and Part B
  • The CUCET 2018 Examination will be conducted in Online Mode
  • The question paper consists of 100 MCQs i.e. Multiple Choice Questions and each question will be provided with four options. The candidate is required to mark the correct answer.
  • Part A would be consisting of 25 multiple choice questions of English, Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical skills.
  • Part B would consist of 75 multiple choice questions and would consist of one/ two/ three sections that need to be attempted.
  • Every section would have a minimum of 25 questions.
  • The candidate would be required to answer a set of any three sections.
  • For integrated courses and any other general course types, only one paper with 100 objective type questions would be conducted.
  • The Language of the paper would be in English.
  • The paper would be for a total time duration of 2 hours. Every answer would carry 1 mark and a negative marking of 0.25.

CUCET 2018 Syllabus

CUCET 2018 syllabus for Under Graduate Engineering courses is following:

The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Part A and Part B.

Part A consists of 25 Multiple Choice Questions from English, Numerical Aptitude/ Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, General Knowledge.

Part B will include separate sections for physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The candidate is required to answer only three sections from the above-mentioned options. They can select any one among Mathematics and Biology.

The candidate is required to refer the official website of CUCET in order to attain the detailed information about the syllabus.

The question paper will include detailed syllabus of English, Analytical Skills, General Aptitude, Numerical Aptitude and Data interpretation, Reasoning and General Knowledge.

CUCET 2018 Result

The CUCET 2018 Results are expected to be released on May 25, 2018 on the official website of CUCET. The examination is conducted to provide admission in various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research programmes offered by all 10 Universities participating in CUCET 2018. The Result will be provided only to those candidates who appeared for the examination which was conducted on April 28 and April 29, 2018. Once the result is declared, the candidate can check it on the official website of CUCET by providing their Application Number and Password. The CUCET 2018 Result will comprise of CUCET Scores attained by the candidate and their qualifying status.

The CUCET 2018 Results will be followed by the declaration of Merit List and Counseling List in the first week of June 2018
