CMAT 2019: Application Process started, Exam on January 28

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CMAT 2019 Application Form on the official website at The candidates seeking to appear for CMAT 2019 must register before November 30, 2018. CMAT exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 28, 2019, in two sessions i.e. from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Earlier the CMAT examination was conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), however, after the establishment NTA, the examination is being conducted by the NTA which includes organizing the examination, releasing admit cards, conducting examination and declaring the results.


 CMAT 2019 Registration comprises of four steps i.e. registration, entering details, uploading documents and paying the application fee. CMAT Application Fee can be paid online as well as offline.

Requirements for CMAT 2019 Application Process:

The candidate is required to upload the scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature while applying for CMAT. Following are the dimensions prescribed by the examination conducting board:

  • Passport Size Photograph: Dimensions of the scanned image must not exceed 3.5 x 4.5 cm and the file size must lie between 10-100 kb.
  • Signature: Dimensions of the scanned image must not exceed 3.5 x 1.5 cm and the file size must lie between 30 kb.

CMAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • The candidate must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university
  • The candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply for the examination.

CMAT 2019 Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern of the examination has not been revised by the NTA. Following are the details of the CMAT exam pattern:

  • The examination will be conducted in online mode
  • The time duration of examination is 3 hours
  • The CMAT question Paper will carry 100 questions
  • The candidate will be rewarded with an additional 4 marks for each correct answer and a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The question paper will carry four sections i.e. Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation and Language Comprehension.
