JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2018. The online application forms will be available from May 2, 2018 and candidates aspiring to seek admissions to bachelor's programmes, integrated master's programmes and dual degree programmes offered by all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), will appear for this entrance examination.
The class 12th boards examination is already over and numerous aspirants would be appearing for JEE Main 2018 entrance examination scheduled to be conducted this week. Engineering is still considered to be the best choice among many students and when it comes to engineering colleges and institutes, IITs are the most preferred technical institutes in India. According to the latest NIRF Ranking released by Ministry of Human Resource and Development, 8 out of top 10 engineering colleges of India are from IITs. IITs are autonomous institutes governed by IT Act of 1961 and are declared as Institutions of National Importance. IIT Kharagpur was the first IIT which was established in 1951, followed by IIT Bombay, Madras, Kanpur and Delhi in the later years. According to the media reports, placements at IITs have seen more than Rs. 1 crore offers made to the students.
