IIT JAM 2024 - Highlights: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras organised the IIT JAM Exam on February 11 this year, and the results were out on March 22, 2024. IIT JAM then opened their admission portal - JOAPS on April 10 and the last date to apply was April 24 earlier. However the same is now revised to April 29, 2024 and the first admission list will be out on 31st May 2024.

In a recent update it is also declared by IIT Madras that the Joint M.Sc - PhD in in Chemical and Molecular Biology program offered by IIT Kharagpur has been withdrawn for the IIT JAM 2024 Admissions.
For the academic year 2024 - 25 it is estimated that 3000 seats will be filled in IITs via the IIT JAM 2024 score, and no additional evaluation process like interview or a suitability test shall be conducted for admissions. The scores will be used to offer admissions to various courses in M.Sc., M.Sc. Tech, MS Research, M.Sc., Joint M. Sc.- M. Tech, M.Sc.- PhD joint, PhD - M.Sc. dual degree in the participating institutes.
Besides IITs, over 2000 seats will also be filled in the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru. The first admission list will be out on May 31 and the candidates can book their seats by making the payment till 4th June 2024. As per the schedule, the second admission list will be released on June 12, 2024.
