Important things to remember while filling the IIT JAM application form

  1. Carefully check the eligibility criteria of the exam before filling the application form
  2. The application fee is paid in online mode only.
  3. The name of the candidate in the application form should match the name mentioned in the qualifying degree.
  4. Do not use Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. before the name.
  5. Candidates may choose one paper each from both the sessions, i.e. Session I (9:00 am to 12:00 noon) and Session II (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm).
  6. Session I is contains the following subjects- Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH)
  7. Session II include the following subjects – Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS).

How to modify the IIT JAM Application form?

  1. The first step is to send an email to the official of conducting body i.e IIT Bombay for minor modifications.
  2. The second step is to attach all the necessary documents in support for the needed changes.
  3. With the help of login id and password, all the necessary changes can be made in the application form.
  4. The subject line of an email should contain ‘Correction in data' along with the candidate's enrollment number.
