IIT JAM 2024 Application form was made available on September 5th on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in. Interested candidates have the opportunity to submit their applications for the exam until October 13th. It is recommended that candidates review IIT JAM Eligibility before proceeding with their application. The examination itself is scheduled to take place on February 11, 2024.
IIT Madras will be responsible for conducting IIT JAM 2024 for the academic session 2024-2025. To be eligible to apply for the exam, candidates must have either already completed an undergraduate degree in fields such as Geology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry, or they should be in their final year of undergraduate programs. It is essential for candidates to verify the minimum eligibility criteria before commencing the application process for the JAM exam.
IIT JAM 2024 is a computer-based examination consisting of 60 questions, with a total of 100 marks. Detailed information regarding the pattern of the IIT JAM Exam 2024 is available for reference.
Additionally, students have the option to download the IIT JAM 2024 syllabus in PDF format at no cost. The syllabus encompasses seven subjects: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), and Physics (PH).
What is IIT JAM : Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test IIT JAM exam is conducted every year in Feb for admissions in various Postgraduate programmes like M.sc, Integrated M.sc+P.hd in IIT's and Indian Institute of science (ISC), Bangalore. IIT Guwahati is conducting IIT JAM 2024 on 12 Feb 2024. It will be an online examination (computer based paper). The eligibility criteria for writing IIT JAM is a candidate should be a graduate in any stream with 55% marks in aggregate for students belonging to General Category and there is the relaxation of 5% i.e 50% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Candidates with foreign nationality can also apply to this exam. Final year students can also apply for IIT JAM (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test 2024) provided they submit the required documents at the time of admission and there is no upper age limit for applying to this exam.
Candidates would be appearing for IIT JAM exam on 12 Feb 2024. The exam pattern details include examination type, duration of exam, no. of questions, mode of exam etc. IIT JAM 2024 will be a Computer Based Test conducted in an online mode. There are 3 sections in the exam consist of total 60 questions carrying 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. There will be no negative marking in Section B and Section C.
