IIT Bombay - Admission 2024, Cutoff, Placement, Courses and Fees

Latest Updates: IIT Bombay Admissions are done on the basis of JEE Advanced scores, The JEE Main 2024 result for Session 1 is available. Candidates can view or download the scorecard from the NTA’s official website. The JEE Main Registration window for session 2 exam is already open, and the deadline to apply is March 2, 2024. Furthermore, the JEE Main Session 2 exam will be held from April 4, 2024 to April 15, 2024 and the results will be announced on April 25, 2024. The JEE Advanced 2024 exam dates have been released. The examination will be held on May 26, 2024. Registration for the exam is open from April 21, 2024 to April 30, 2024 on the official website jeeadv.ac.in.

 Some further significant IIT Bombay recent updates are listed below:

  • IIT Bombay MBA Admissions year 2024-26 are currently open. The institute has already announced the list of shortlisted candidates, and personal interviews will take place between March 7 and 10, 2024 (tentatively).
  • IIT Bombay Cutoff 2024 will be notified when the IIT Bombay JEE Advanced 2024 results are released. 
  • IIT Bombay MDes Admission 2024 is based on CEED results. The CEED results will be made available on March 6.
  • Admission to IIT Bombay MTech is dependent on the GATE 2024 score. The GATE 2024 tests have been completed, and the results will be released on March 16, 2024. 
  • IIT Bombay Placements 2024 Phase 1 has ended with 1188 placements. 85 students received remuneration packages over INR 1 CPA, with the average package standing at INR 36.9 LPA. Until now students have received 279 PPOs, of which 258 were accepted.
  • Applications are being accepted for the IIT Bombay-WashU Joint Degree Executive MBA program. The ninth batch will start in January 2024.   
    The PhD 2023–24 Spring Sem report is due on January 2, 2024, and classes start on January 4, 2024.
  • The dates of the GATE 2024 exam are February 3, 4, 10, and 11.
  • The online registration period for IIT JAM 2024 is already closed. The  IIT JAM 2024 Admit Card will be downloaded online starting on January 8, 2024. Additionally, on February 11, 2024, the IIT JAM 2024 test will take place.
  • The window for registration for UCEED 2024 is now closed. Moreover, the 2024 UCEED exam is scheduled for January 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • The time to register for CEED 2024 is now closed. Additionally, the 2024 CEED exam is scheduled for January 21, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.    
    Exam dates for JEE Advanced 2024 are announced. On May 26, 2024, IIT Madras will hold the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam. Between April 21, 2024, and April 30, 2024, candidates can register online for the exam at jeeadv.ac.in, the official website.

IIT Bombay Campus Life

A typical day in IIT Bombay students starts at 8 AM in the morning with a rundown of IIIT Bombay Mess. After breakfast, students reach lecture halls for lectures as most of the lectures are held in the morning hours. After the lectures, students go for lunch. Narendra Krishna Karmarkar (born 1957) is an Indian mathematician, who developed Karmarkar’s algorithm. He is listed as an ISI highly cited researcher. Karmarkar’s algorithm solves linear programming problems in polynomial time. These problems are represented by "n" variables and "m" constraints.

Manohar Gopalkrishna Prabhu Parrikar (born 13 December 1955) is an Indian politician who has been Chief Minister of Goa since 9 March 2012. Previously he was Chief Minister from 2000 to 2005. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represents the Panaji constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Goa.

Nitin Nohria is the 10th and the current dean of Harvard Business School. He is also the George F. Baker Professor of Business Administration, co-chair of the HBS Leadership Initiative and sits on the executive committee of the University’s interfaculty initiative on advanced leadership.

The campus has a big library with a collection of books of 240000 and 67000 reports. Several journals are also present in the library.

The campus has a medical center which starts working at 8 in the morning with consultation services and ambulance services.
