UGC NET December 2018: Registration Starts from September 1

The University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test, known as UGC NET is scheduled to be conducted from December 9 to December 23, 2018. Until July 2018, the examination was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), however, from the upcoming NET examination i.e. UGC NET December 2018, the examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The online registration for NET 2018 examination will commence from September 1, 2018. The candidate aspiring to appear for UGC NET 2018 examination must visit the official website of National Testing Agency at nta.ac.in. The last date to apply for the same is September 30, 2018.

Currently, the National Testing Agency has started the online registration process for the test practice centre. The candidates who are interested in knowing the UGC NET Question Pattern must register themselves through the official website of NTA.

Steps to Register for National Testing Agency:

  1. The candidate must visit the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on the ‘Registration’ Link available on the homepage.
  3. Provide the required details such as Applicants’ Name, Institutes’ Name etc.
  4. Submit the Registration Form

Once the registration process is complete the candidate must practice as much test papers available on the website. This will also provide an idea of the actual examination.

Documents Required for UGC Net 2018 Registrations:

  • Scanned image of Candidates’ Passport-size photograph in JPG format. The size of the image must be between 4KB and 40KB.
  • Scanned image of Candidates’ signature in JPG format. The size of the image must be between 4KB and 40KB. The signature must be in blue or black ink, on a plain paper.
  • Online Fee Payment facility i.e. availability of Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
  • Mark sheet and Certificate of Post Graduate Degree course.

About UGC NET:

NET is a national-level examination which determines the eligibility of Post Graduate candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and the grant of Junior Research Fellowship. Earlier the examination was conducted twice a year i.e. in the month of July and December, but according to the HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, the examination will be conducted annually in the month of December.
