GATE 2021 – The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering shortened as GATE Exam is all scheduled to be held in the month of February 2020. The examination conducting body i.e. the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) Bombay has announced to extend the last date to apply for GATE 2021 Exam. The last date to apply for the exam with late fee has been extended till 14th October 2020. One of the official notifications of IIT Bombay says:

"Closing date of Registration for GATE 2021 is EXTENDED up to 17:00 hrs IST (5:00 PM) Wednesday 14th October 2020"

Considering the current pandemic situation, GATE 2021 Exam will be held over a period of six days divided in twelve sessions.

Candidates interested in filling the application form without late fee could register themselves till 8th October 2020. Candidates who still wish to register themselves for the exam can register themselves by 14th October 2020, but they would be required to process the payment of late fee along with the regular application fee.

How to Apply for GATE Exam?

  • Visit the official website of GATE i.e. gate.iitb.ac.in.
  • Navigate to and click on GATE 2021 Admission Portal
  • Click on the link that says ‘New User/New Registration'.
  • Proceed further and fill the GATE 2021 Application Form.
  • Provide all the required details correctly and process the payment of application fee along with late fee.
  • Confirm your GATE Registration by clicking on ‘Submit' tab.
  • Save the duly filled form for future reference.

More About GATE Exam

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering i.e. GATE Exam is a national level entrance examination conducted jointly by IISc Bangalore (Indian Institute of Science) and Seven of the IITs. The examination is conducted on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

The exam is conducted through online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT) and there are 27 subjects for which the exam is held.
