NEET Score takes off life

By: Shriyanshi Jha on June 10, 2019

There was a 17 year old girl from Tirupur state and she committed suicide on Wednesday.  Apparently this step was taken by this girl because of her disability to clear up the NEET 2019 exam.

This tragedy has turned up to be a political issue and people started playing the blame game. Police reported that Ritushree hanged herself in her room because she could not take up the stress of not clearing up the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Now the situation has taken a complete political turn. Ritushree was pretty sure that she will be able to join the medical course in some or the other college and she had managed to score 490 in her class 12th exam.

Result of NEET were announced on the morning of June 5th 2019 and the girl was pretty hopeful that she will clear up the exam and will be joining some medical course sooner. The ruling party AIADMK promised in its manifesto to get some exemption for the NEET students belonging from the state as it is pretty difficult to cope up with the new and improved syllabus of NEET.

DMK even promised that they will scrap off the national entrance test if their alliance comes up in the power.

Similar case happened in the year 2017, when a 17 year old Dalit girl belonging from Ariyalur district, S Anitha who scored 1176 marks out of 1200 in her class 12th exam also committed suicide as she could not manage a good score in the NEET exam.
