NEET 2019: Exam Centres Changed Just Before the Examination

By: Archana on April 30, 2019

Yesterday came with a shock to thousands of NEET UG aspirants, when they received a text from National Testing Agency (NTA) asking the students to re-download their admit cards from the official website. The candidates followed the procedure and downloaded the admit card only to notice that their NEET Exam Centres have been changed from the one mentioned in the previous admit card.

NEET UG 2019 admit card was released earlier this month, but on Monday some of the students asked to download the admit card as there are changes in the exam centres as revealed by NTA.

This is the first time NTA is conducting the NEET 2019 which is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2019 for admission in MBBS and BDS courses. This is not the first time when something like this happened, earlier also on April 15 the NEET Admit Card released was having some error in it, which was rectified later the other day.

The applicants are not very happy with the changes in exam centre as the newly allocated NEET Exam Centres are far from the one candidates have prepared and they need to make the transportation changes in last minute.

One of the applicant's parent in her interview with a leading daily mentioned that the earlier the exam centre allocated to her daughter was at Kanjurmarg in the earlier downloaded admit card, which was made available on April 15.  But on the evening of Monday, April 29, 2019 they received a message on their registered number that they needs to download the admit card again, upon doing it they noticed the exam centre has been changed to Ghansoli. The parents are worried that they will have to spend more time traveling which will exhaust the kid before taking the examination.

Some of the students also reported that even if they received the text from NTA to download the admit card, they didn't notice any changes in the exam centre and they will have to go the same exam centre as allocated earlier.

The authority has not cleared anything regarding the changes made unannounced, so, if you are among one of the aspirant of the upcoming examination it is advised to you to visit the official website ntaneet.nic.in and download their respective admit cards to see for any changes if made.
