GATE 2019: Online Application Process Started

The online Application Process of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, also known as GATE examination has commenced. GATE 2019 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by one of the IITs and IISc on a rotational basis. The examination is conducted annually to provide admission in Post Graduate Engineering and Technology courses. This year the examination is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. The GATE Registration process commenced on September 1, 2018, and the last date to apply for the same is September 21, 2018.

Requirements for GATE 2019 Registrations:

Class X and Class XII Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate.
Graduation Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate.
Eligibility Certificate in PDF format.
ID Proof such as Aadhar Card, Passport, Election Card etc.
Scanned Image of Candidates’ Passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression according to the specified format.
Scanned copy of Category Certificate, if required.
Scanned copy of PwD Certificate, if required.
Address Details.
Online Fee Payment facility i.e. Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.

Steps to Apply for GATE 2019:

Visit the official website of GATE at gate.iitm.ac.in or appsgate.iim.ac.in.
Click on ‘Login’ and provide details such as Full Name, E-mail ID, Mobile Number and choose a password.
An enrollment ID will be sent to the registered e-mail of the candidate, once the registration is complete.
Click on ‘Start GATE Application Form 2019’ link available after submitting the Registration Form.
Fill the application form including the personal details, educational qualification, exam details and proceed further.
Upload the scanned copies of Degree Certificate, Category Certificate, Passport size photograph and Signature.
Review the details filled on the application form and click on ‘Submit and Proceed to Payment’ link.
The next step is to pay the application fee. Click on ‘Make Payment’ link available on the screen.
Once the application fee is successfully submitted, the fee payment number will be generated.
Click on ‘Confirm and Final Submit’ button and complete your online application process.
The candidate must take a print out of submitted application form for future references.
