Common Admission Test: Skills that would take you a long way

With about 6 months to go for the D day, it is already time that a student starts preparing for the exam in a serious way and thinks for long term beyond his Post Graduate degree and until his career, life skills that would go a long way in taking them up to their desirous positions.

The five skills are as described below:

Problem Solving Skills: Problem Solving ability goes way beyond only an aptitude test that a student may do. It extends into his life wherein he should be adept at handling day-to-day managerial situations. A team lead efficiently identifies solutions to problems and is prompt on mails to assign work and get deadlines acheived.

Clear Communication: Communication has never been about how good you are at a particular language but how clearly you get the message delivered across to the receiver. When you are trying to put across a message to your subordinate, your accent and vocabulary won't matter much, but the structure and contents of the message would matter a lot.

Managing Aptitude: While Common Admission Test would get you to the gates of an IIM, you would have to work a great deal on your managerial ability. Decision Making is an important science that would help you take into a lot of factors into account to call the shots. These skills are acquired only from a work environment and by observing people around you.

Thinking Clarity: This is a significant differentiating factor as you have to be sure of what you are doing when you pursue the line of management. More than the jargon and managerial terminology that you would have learnt in your coaching institute, it is important to be aware of your strengths and growth plan ahead.

Confidence: High Self-esteem and confidence is the key to win anyday when memory does not give you support. If you go with an attitude as to not lose anything, then you would definitely win.

The eligibility criteria for Common Admission Test is as follows:

Bachelor's degree with minimum of 50% or corresponding CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PWD) awarded by universities and educational institutions that is incorporated by an Act enacted by the Legislature.
Candidates who are completing their final year, these candidates would be provisionally admitted, provided relevant proof is given by senior authority that all requirements are fulfilled.
If any university does not have the practice of CGPA, then the candidate's score would be divided by the maximum CGPA possible to multiply the result with 100.
The eligibility of the student can be verified at various stages of selection procedure which alone does not guarantee admission.
