IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

CAT Registration 2024: Latest Updates
The registration for CAT will start in August, possibly in the first week of August, The schedule for CAT registration will be declared on 30th August. The process of application will be online. Interested applicants can apply at iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT registration cum application process 2024 will continue until the third week of September 2024.
IIM Lucknow received 3.30 lakh applications in 2023. Comparatively, it is higher than applications received in 2022 by 30%. Also, it is the highest number since the beginning of the CAT exam. 2.88 lakh applicants took the test out of 3.30 lakh, of which 3.28 lakh applications were considered valid.

Candidates must note that CAT registration and application process is only done one-time. This process is mandatory and there is no scope of submitting a form in offline mode. CAT Registration 2024: CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
- Graduation with a minimum 50 percent aggregate or equivalent degree from a university recognised by the UGC is the basic requirement for the CAT Exam.
- 45 per cent aggregate is the criteria of eligibility for those who belong toSC/ST/PwD category.
- Those students who are in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply for CAT 2024 exam provided that the first two years' average score needs to be 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Applicants for professional courses like ICSI, ICWAI, and ICAI may also apply for the CAT test in 2024.

Three processes are involved in the CAT Exam registration. It encompasses registration that is done online, filling up the CAT form and fees payment.

FIRST STEP: Registration
In the first Step, candidates need to follow the procedure given below for online registration for CAT exam:
- Visit the official website that is iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on the Register' tab under 'New Candidate Registration' tab.
- Mention your name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number and nationality
- Click on 'Generate OTP' tab
- OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number when you register successfully.
- Get your registration verified by mentioning the OTP in the required field.
SECOND STEP: Filling up CAT Application Form
The candidate will receive a user ID and password on their registered email address and mobile number following verification. Re-log in with your CAT 2024 user ID and password to complete the form.
- Image :There are a total of six sections in the CAT form. The applicants must mention correct details and required information for the successful submission of application.
- Personal Infromation: Candidates must fill out this portion of the CAT application form with information about themselves, including name, date of birth, father's name, category, gender, and nationality, as well as contact information like email address and mobile number.
- Academic Details: Candidates must input their class 10 and 12 exam results, bachelor's degree information, transcripts, and details of any additional professional courses (if any) in this part.
- Job Experience: If an applicant has relevant job experience, they must complete this area with information about the organization, the length of their employment, their designation, etc.
- Programs: The candidate must choose the MBA program they want to pursue as well as the IIM institutes of their choosing in this part.
- Test City: Please indicate your option for the test city in this box. On the CAT application form, candidates can list up to six cities in order of choice, starting with the first one.
- Payment: Candidates may use credit/debit cards, internet banking, or Paytm/PayU mobile wallets to cover the CAT application fee.
THIRD STEP:Payment of CAT Registration cum Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is the third and last step in registering for the 2024 CAT exam. Once you have completed the form's first five parts with your information, click "save and continue" to move on to the fee payment window.
What are the fees for the CAT Exam?
Payment for the CAT exam must be made at the time the form is submitted. The CAT application form will not be submitted until the cost is paid. Before the deadline, candidates must pay the application cost and submit the form. The most recent CAT registration cost is shown below.
For General, EWS and NC-OBC
Category, INR 2,400 is the fee.
For SC, ST and PwD, INR 1,200 is the fee.
CAT Registration 2024: Documents Required for CAT 2024 Application Form
In the CAT application form 2024, candidates are required to include both personal and academic information. Therefore, in order to provide accurate personal and academic information on the CAT form, candidates must have the following documents available before beginning to fill it out:
- Marksheet for Class 10
- Marksheet for class twelve
- Graduation certificates and mark sheets
- Certificate of Date of Birth
- Provide Address
- Certificate of Candidate Identification
- Status of COVID-19 vaccine
- Final year certificate from the director, HoD, or principal, if relevant
- Certificate of caste, if applicable
- Certificate of PwD category (if relevant)
- Scribe certification, if relevant
- Credentials for net banking or credit/debit cards

CAT Registration 2024: What are the Documents to Upload with CAT Form?
Candidates must attach specific files to their CAT form submission. The information about the documents that need to be uploaded on the CAT application form 2024 is provided below. Forms that are uploaded without these files will not be accepted.
CAT 2024 Application Process: Selection of Test Cities
There are 155 cities listed. Candidates must enter the test location of their preference by selecting up to six options from the list. The CAT test city will be assigned based on the availability of seats at the testing center. The candidate's CAT admission card 2024 will provide information about the exam city and center. Only once after the form is submitted, during the CAT form correction process, is there an opportunity to modify the test city. Candidates should choose their CAT test cities carefully.
CAT Exam Registration 2024: Important Information
- Google Chrome (version 59 and above) and Edge Chromium or Mozilla Firefox (version 56 and above) are the recommended web browsers for filling out the CAT 2024 application form.
- The CAT application form should not be completed on a smartphone. Fill out the application on a desktop computer or laptop.
- Make sure you double-check every piece of information you entered on the CAT application form before clicking "submit/save key."
- Once submitted, there is no way to amend the form. You will need to fill out the form, create a new login ID, and pay the cost once more.
- For future use, keep a copy of the CAT application fee acknowledgment slip and a copy of the properly completed application form.
- Keep the email confirming your CAT registration until the end of MBA admission process. It is advisable to take a printout of the confirmation mail.
Instructions for Reserved Category Students Registering for CAT 2024
Applicants who would like to apply under the Reserved category must adhere closely to the guidelines provided.
- Visit the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) website at http://www.ncbc.nic.in/Home.aspx to find out which Caste or Tribe name applies.
- It is required to submit the Resaved category form with the exam form. From the official CAT 2024 website, get the EWS, NC-OBC, and SC/ST Certificate. Fill it out, self-attest, scan it as a PDF file, and upload it to the CAT website.
- If you are applying under the Person with Disability (PwD) category, go to the CAT website, download the Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate, fill out the necessary fields, submit a self-attestation, and scan the document as a PDF to upload the certificates.
- Remember to complete the CAT application form 2024 by selecting the information under the PwD Category - Wheelchair Support and Scribe Requirement.
- If you plan to use a scribe to help you appear in the exam, fill out the Scribe Affidavit form on the CAT exam registration page as soon as possible, and make your own scribe arrangements.
The CAT Application Process: Mistakes to Prevent
The majority of the CAT application form's fields can only be changed prior to submission. Since there aren't many fields that may be edited in the CAT form correction box, it's best to fill out the form correctly the first time. Verify the following details to prevent mistakes on the CAT form 2024:
- Since email and mobile will be the primary means of communication for CAT 2024 registration, please make sure they are operational.
- Choose your CAT test city carefully, as requests for changes won't be accepted once the exam location has been assigned.
- As the initial choice for the exam center allocation, select your current city. Before choosing six cities in order of 1 to 6, consider how convenient it will be for you to go to the testing location on exam day.
- Choose your IIMs wisely, as you will only be able to apply to WAT-PI for the IIMs you choose on the CAT application form.
- Choose your IIM interview locations wisely as well. For every IIM, there are just two choices, so choose the one that works best for you.
- Enter your precise class 10, 12, and graduation academic results. Make sure you include details on your postgraduate or professional degree as well, as the IIMs will use the CAT application forms to check the academic record of candidates for the WAT-PI shortlisting.
- While the IIMs are shortlisting students for the WAT-PI, they will be carefully reviewing the work experience details that you enter.
- Attach legitimate caste, PwD, and Scribe certificates to the CAT application. The candidates could not be allowed to take the exam if it turns out that the certifications are fraudulent.
- Make sure the fee is successfully paid and that you get an email acknowledgment. The form submission will remain unfinished and the CAT admit card will not be provided if the fee payment is unsuccessful.
How Can I Modify the 2024 CAT Application Form?
After the registration procedure ended, there was a three-day window for CAT 2024 form corrections. Applicants may modify their preferred test city or upload a better photo and signature image to the CAT form. View the CAT form repair procedure below:

Can I edit my CAT Application form after the submission??
Once the CAT Application form is submitted, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in their respective forms. In case you have made major errors, you will be required to fill another fresh CAT Form and make the payment of CAT Exam Fees. Although, CAT Application Correction window will be made available for students who wish to make changes in their uploaded passport sized photo, signature, and test city preferences. The application correction window will be made available for 3-4 days after the successful conclusion of CAT Application Window.
I am in the final year of bachelor’s degree. Am I eligible for taking CAT 2024 Exam??
Yes. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for the exam as they stand eligible. At the time of admission, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD) must secure at least 45% marks in their graduation.
Can I fill CAT 2024 Application Form offline??
No. Candidates can not fill CAT Application Form offline. CAT 2024 Application Form can only be filled online through CAT official website - iimcat.ac.in. There is no option to fill the CAT Form offline. While filling the application form of CAT, candidates will be required to create an account on CAT Website once the registration begins. Candidates must also note that there is no other website to host the CAT Form, candidates can register themselves only by visiting the official websites. Besides, CAT Exam Fee must be submitted only only and there will be no cash accepted.
