CAT 2019 Admit Card

IIM Kozhikode released CAT 2019 Admit Card on 23rd October 2019 and the students who have registered themselves for the examination are intimated on their registered mobile number or email id. IIM Kozhikode, being the conducting authority has released the Admit Card on October 23, 2019 and the students are advised to download their respective admit cards from the official website of CAT i.e. iimcat.ac.in.

  • The candidates will require CAT Registration ID and Password to download their respective admit cards.
  • The Admit Card will be issued only to those candidates whose application form is accepted by the examination conducting authority.
  • The admit card must be carried to the examination hall on the exam day as the candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without admit card.

It is necessary and imperative for students to download the admit card in advance and preserve the same until the end of the admission procedure. Candidates are expected to carry their admit card along with a Photo ID proof.

CAT Exam 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on 24th November 2019 through online mode. Besides, the links for Offline Mock Tests have been activated which can help students to become familiar of the pattern.

In case of any discrepancy in Admit Card, the candidates must immediately inform at cathelpdesk@iimcat.ac.in.

It can be seen that the number of students applying for and taking CAT Exam increases every year and it is expected that the number of applications received this year would increased from that of previous year's. Since the number of applicants increase with each passing year, students can witness the difficulty level getting increased this year.

Essential Documents along with CAT Admit Card

  • Candidates must carry a valid photo id proof.
  • A recent passport sized photograph must be pasted on the printed copy of admit card.

It is seen that the admit card of CAT Exam is released after the declared date and thus, it is expected to repeat this year too.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE ADMIT CARD?

There is a certain set of instructions that must be followed by candidates to download the admit card. In order to download the admit card, candidates must have the User Id and Password intimated on their registered email id and mobile number.

Following are the steps to download the admit card:

  1. Visit the official website of CAT i.e. iimcat.ac.in.
  2. Click on “Download Admit Card” tab and enter the details asked.
  3. Enter the User Id and Password in the sections given there.
  4. Candidates are redirected to a new window which shows their profile.
  5. Click on Download Admit Card tab and download and submit the admit card for future reference.

There is a certain set of instructions that must be followed while or after downloading the admit card.

  • Candidates must check if the details printed on the admit card are correct or not.
  • In case of any discrepancy, it must be reported to the immediate authority to get it rectified.

DETAILS ON ADMIT CARD

CAT Admit Card basically carries all the details concerning the candidate and CAT Examination. The candidates must check if all the details are correct and keep it safe for future use.

Details on the Admit Card include:

  1. Name of the Candidates
  2. Date of Birth of the Candidate
  3. User Id or Registration Number
  4. Exam Schedule and Slot
  5. Examination Center or Venue
  6. Candidate's uploaded Signature and Photograph
  7. Instructions

The candidates must ensure they visit the examination venue one day before the examination. They should be aware of the whereabouts of the venue so as to save their time on the day of examination.

Google Maps Link - CAT 2019 Admit Card

IIM Kozhikode released the admit card for CAT 2019 on 23rd October 2019 and students preparing to take CAT 2019 Exam can now download their respective admit cards from the official website of CAT. Candidates must enter their login details in order to download their admit cards. These details are sent to candidates on their email id registered by them during registration procedure.

There is a new feature that has been added to CAT 2019 Admit Card and this feature is Google Map Link. It is seen that a Google map link had been added to the admit card in order to help students locate the exact location of their exam centers on examination day. This step is taken to help students avoid any last-minute rush on the examination date. Candidates can use the given google map link by following the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of CAT and download your admit card.
  • Click on the google map link mentioned on the admit card.
  • A new window will appear with exact location on google maps.

This procedure would help students visit the google map link on desktop or mobile as by clicking on the link students will be redirected to google maps. Candidates can later add their start and end location in order to find the shortest and correct path from their place to the examination center. Candidates must follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Click on “Directions” tab available on google maps.
  • Enter your starting and destination point and choose your mode of conveyance.
  • The map for examination center would be put-on view and students can follow the same to reach the examination center on time.

Note* By this facility, the contact number of examination center is also made available for students. Candidates can use this number in case of any emergency or any location related issues. Those using this facility on desktop or laptop can send the directions by clicking on “Send the directions to your phone” tab.

How to correct errors in CAT 2019 Admit Card?

Candidates appearing in CAT 2019 might face various issues with their admit cards and these issues may include blank admit card, admit card not received, or any incorrect detail printed on admit card.

Following are the steps students can take to rectify the errors in their respective admit cards:

  • It must be noted that students download their CAT 2019 Hall Ticket only by supported browsers and not from their mobile phones.
  • If on the official website, the link to download CAT Admit card is not working properly; candidates must report this issue to the examination conducting authority.
  • Candidates must ensure that they registered themselves successfully as the admit card can be downloaded only after successful registration. It is not possible to download the admit card if students did not receive any automated mail confirmation after successful registration.  
  • Blank Admit Card – Students must ensure that the user id and password entered by them is correct.
  • No Admit Card Received – The admit card can not be generated for in case if incomplete registration. If the registration procedure was successful and no admit card is available, students can also report this issue to then examination authority.

Note* Students are advised to try downloading their admit card during off peak hours.
