Candidates qualifying CLAT 2019 will be eligible to apply for the Law degree courses offered at 21 National Law Universities and other law colleges of the country.

CLAT 2019 will be conducted by the National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO) and candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit of marks scored in the examination. The shortlisted candidates will be able to apply for admission in 21 National law universities and 31 Law colleges and Universities in India offering law courses.

There were rounds of speculation going on regarding the changes in the CLAT exam pattern, however, the authorities have agreed to carry out the examination in offline mode for this year as well as the number of applicants is not as high as to take the examination in online mode. CLAT Application Procedure has already been completed online on the official website clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in

In comparison to last year, there is surely an increase in the number of applications received for the examination but it is not that high. Last year around 58, 000 candidates applied for the examination which increased this year to 60, 000.

As per the earlier notification released by the official website, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 12, but the same was clashing with the dates of upcoming Lok Sabha elections so the exam got postponed to May 27, 2019. Candidates can take admissions in 3 years/ 5-year Integrated LLB and LLM Programs offered at national and private colleges of the country.

CLAT 2019 Admit Card will be released by May 15, 2019, and candidates will be able to download the same from the official website.
