New Update About CLAT 2024

IIM Lucknow has revised CAT Admit Card 2023 release date. CAT Admit Card will now be released on 7 November 2023 @iimcat.ac.in. The release date of CAT Admit Card was previously set to be 25 October. Candidates will be able to download their respective CAT Admit Cards until the exam day by using their CAT login ID and password. The CAT 2023 Exam will be held on November 26 at approximately 400 test centres across 150 cities. The exam will be divided into three slots and will last two hours. Candidates will be able to take the test at the centre only if they bring a hard copy of their CAT 2023 Admit Card.

CLAT Examination is conducted through online mode. CLAT 2019 Question Paper will comprise of 200 questions further sub-sectioned into 5 topics. 

CLAT 2019 Question paper will carry the following sub-sections:

  • English
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
  • Mathematics
  • Legal Aptitude 
  • Logical Reasoning

English

You will be tested in terms of vocabulary, proficiency and the usage errors made in the language across following types:

  1. Antonyms, synonyms, and analogies

         2. Idioms

         3. Phrases, fill in the blanks, cloze tests

         4.Rearrangement of sentences and words

         5. Common usage errors, spelling, use of inappropriate words

GK and Current Affairs:

News which are of importance in the national and international context for the past one year need to be understood in-depth. These

would span across various fields like economics, geography, technology, sports, persons, books and authors to mention a few.

Maths

Numeric ability equivalent to that of 10th standard education would be tested. Below mentioned are the categories:

         1. Arithmetic: Number systems, surds, square root, approximation, ratio and proportion, average.

         2. Commercial Maths: Profit and loss, percentages, partnerships and discounts

         3. Mensuration: Volumes and areas.

Legal Aptitude

The section would test the candidate's understanding in various fields of law- International, Criminal, Indian Constitution, Contracts, torts and

family law. Approach to research and solving problems would be tested.

Logical Reasoning

They are of the following two types:

1. Reasoning: Classification, coding and decoding, relationships, alphabets, distance, direction

2. Logic: Assumptions, arguments, conclusions and the best course of action.
