JEE Advanced 2019: Exam Date Rescheduled due to Clash with Lok Sabha Election

JEE Advanced Examination was scheduled to be conducted on May 19, 2019, but due to clash with the Lok Sabha Election Dates, the examination is rescheduled. According to the notification released by the examination conducting authority, JEE Advanced 2019 examination will be conducted on May 27, 2019. Apart from JEE Advanced, JEE Main examination is also rescheduled by the National Testing Agency.

M L Sharma, the chairman of the examination organizing committee said, “In view of the clash in the dates of JEE Advanced 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE Advanced 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 which is Monday.” He further added, “We made this change as there was a clash of dates in 18 cities in 7 states.”

JEE Advanced 2019 examination will be conducted on May 27, 2019, in two shifts i.e. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.

About JEE Advanced:

JEE Advanced is a national level engineering entrance examination conducted by one of the seven zonal coordinating IITs on behalf of the Joint Admission Board. JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted by IIT Roorkee for admissions in various Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree programmes offered by IITs. The online application form of JEE Advanced is expected to be released in the first week of May 2019.
