JoSAA Mock Seat Allotment 2024– The Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts the JoSAA Seat Allotment through online mode at the official website of JoSAA – josaa.nic.in. The authorities will update the JoSAA Counselling 2024 Result on the official website. Students who wish to check JoSAA 2024 Counselling Result will be required to access the JoSAA Login. In order to log in, candidates must enter their JEE Main Application Number and password while logging in. Candidates with a valid score in JEE Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024 will be allowed to appear for JoSAA 2024 Counselling and they can also check the round-wise JoSAA Seat Allotment 2024 Date below in this article. 

The authorities conduct six rounds of JoSAA Seat Allotment. They will also release JoSAA Mock Seat Allotment based on the preferences filled by them during the JoSAA Counselling 2024 Registration before the final seat allocation takes place. The JoSAA Seat Allotment is done based on several factors such as choice filling, ranks, and availability of seats. Candidates who are allotted seats would be required to undergo various steps such as acceptance of seats by JoSAA 2024 Counselling Fee, downloading of JoSAA Seat Allotment Letters, verification of documents, and much more.

JoSAA Seat Allocation 2024 - Mock Round

The JoSAA Counselling conducting authorities will open the registration window for JoSAA Mock Round candidates on the JoSAA Official Website. Candidates are encouraged to apply to as many programmes and institutes as possible. Candidates must finalise their selections before the registration deadline arrives. If they do not lock the options, their most recently saved options will be chosen as the final option. During the JoSAA 2024 Seat Allotment, the authorities divide the candidates into the following categories:

  • GEN
  • GEN PwD
  • OBC-NCL
  • OBC-NCL PwD
  • SC
  • SC PwD
  • ST
  • ST PwD

JoSAA 2024 Seat Allotment

There are six rounds of JoSAA seat allotment that are conducted by the authorities. It is done based on the marks obtained by the candidates, their category, selected preferences, and seat availability. Candidates who have been allotted seats must download a provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter as well as an e-challan to pay the seat acceptance fee. To obtain the provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter, candidates should follow the steps outlined below:

  • Visit the JoSAA Official Website 2024.
  • Click on the JoSAA Seat Allotment Link.
  • Log in using the JEE Main 2024 Appliation number and password.
  • Click on the ‘Submit' button.
  • After the successful JoSAA Registration, the window will display a provisional JoSAA 2024 Seat Allotment letter.
  • Download the provisional letter of JoSAA 2024 and take a printout of it.

What after JoSAA Seat Allocation 2024?

Once all the candidates are allotted seats, they will be required to select any of the below mentioned options:

  • Freeze – When the candidate is satisfied with his/her allotted seats and does not want to be a part of any further rounds of JoSAA Counselling 2024.
  • Float – Candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat but would like to be considered for other participating institutes for the further rounds of JoSAA Seat Allotment.
  • Slide – Candidates accept the allocated seat but is also open for admission into his other preferred courses in the same institute.

Candidates who accept the seat will have to proceed by making the payment of seat acceptance fee using the e challan or SBI Net Banking. Since the admission fee of each participating institute is different, candidates must make sure that they pay only JoSAA Counselling 2024 fees and that will get adjusted against the admission fee.

Candidates who accept a seat are required to show up at the reporting centre on the designated date and time for document verification. Candidates who won't accept the seat or show up on time won't be taken into consideration for admission. Candidates must also bring their original documents at the time of document verification process.
