In LIC AAO 2019 Candidates will be chosen for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in the light of their performance in the examination and personal interview. According to the LIC AAO Selection Procedure 2019, the final choice of applicants will be made according to their rank in the merit list. The LIC AAO Selection Procedure has been reported by Life Insurance Corporation of India. The LIC AAO Selection Procedure is a six-stage technique includes the following:

  1. LIC AAO  Application Procedure
  2. Writing the exam
  3. Attending the interview
  4. Clearing the medical exam
  5. Identity verification, and
  6. Rank allotment

This will help the aspirants to know the different phases of the LIC AAO Selection Procedure. Every one of the phases of Selection in LIC AAO 2019 has been clarified below.

Registering for LIC AAO 2019

Online Registration: Applicants should first apply for LIC AAO 2019 exam. The application procedure of LIC AAO would be in an online mode. Candidates who will apply effectively will be taken considered for the further stages of LIC AAO Selection Procedure.

Online Exam: The online exam will be an objective type exam consisting of five segments - Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Computer Knowledge and English Language. The aggregate marks of the online test are for 300 marks. Applicants should secure the overall and sectional qualifying marks in order to be eligible for the interview procedure. Marks secured in English would not be considered for ranking purposes. Candidates thrice the number of vacancies would be called for the interview.

Medical Exam: The shortlisted candidates in the interview would be called for the Medical examination. Just those candidates who are medically fit will be given an appointment.

Final Allotment: Candidates on the basis of their interview marks and online exam would be made to fulfill the medical criteria and be provided an allotment.

  • Aspirants should clear their basic concepts in order to score well in the LIC AAO Exam.
  • Aspirants, in order to excel in the exam, should study regularly and in a sincere way.
  • Candidates should also be through with the LIC AAO Syllabus.
  • Candidates should make quick notes on a regular basis to help themselves in quick revision of the same.
  • Candidates are required to give a lot of mock tests to well in the LIC AAO Examination.

Selection would be made on the basis of performance in the online test that would be accompanied by a personal interview of shortlisted candidates and subsequent pre-recruitment medical examination.

 Online test would be of objective type, multiple choice based comprising of the following:

  • Reasoning ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • GK, Current affairs
  • Computer awareness
  • English language and vocabulary

The penalty for wrong answers:

  • There would be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective tests. For every question, where a wrong answer has been given by a candidate, 1/4 marks would be deducted to arrive at the right score.
  • Candidate must pass in every paper on a separate basis and obtain the minimum marks individually and on an aggregate basis would be decided by LIC of India.
  • The final marks would be arrived at after deducting the marks for the wrong answers given.
  • Appearing in the online exam or a mere pass in the exam would not give any candidate the right to be called in a personal interview.

OBC/SC/ST candidates wishing to avail themselves of the benefit of pre-examination training may register themselves at the Divisional office of LIC. Candidates who are successful in the online test would be called for an interview.  Candidates who do not obtain minimum qualifying marks shall be disqualified for further procedures. The number of candidates called would be 3 times the number of vacancies. Shortlisted candidates would be undergoing a pre-recruitment medical examination and if found fit, would be offered the appointment.
