All the candidates applying for the KVPY fellowship program need to fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned by conducting authority IISc Bangalore, they must check the eligibility criteria properly.
The scholarship is granted in three streams; SA, SB, SX.
Candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree in Basic Sciences such as B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. in different science subjects are only eligible to apply
Stream SA KVPY 2019 – Candidates who are currently in 11th standard with science subjects who have obtained minimum 75% marks in mathematics and science subjects in class 10 state/national board qualifying exam are eligible for KVPY 2019. However, there is a relaxation of 5% given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD.
Stream SX KVPY 2019 – Current year students of Class 12 studying should obtain 60% marks in the qualifying exam and 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates. They should score 75% marks in class 10 and 65% qualifying marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates in the aggregate of all science subjects and mathematics
Stream SB KVPY 2019 – Candidates currently studying in the first year of Bachelor degree in Basic Sciences course had to obtain 60% marks in 10+2 qualifying exam (50% for reserved categories).
Along with this, the candidates should obtain minimum 60% marks in the first-year examination of Bachelor degree. Relaxation of 10% is given to SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Note: Distance education students are not eligible for this program.
