Aiming for SNAP 2016? Time to hear from one of the SNAP 2015 toppers - Aditi Ramchandra who has shared her insightful experience and opinion in an interview with CollegeSearch. She has talked about effective ways of preparation and attempting the question paper in the ideal manner, along with suggestions on the study material to be referred and much more! Here's the complete interview:

CollegeSearch:How does it feel to be one of the SNAP 2015 toppers?

Aditi: It felt great when I first saw my scorecard! I was positive that I will receive calls from both SIBM-P and SCMHRD. I did not attend the interview for SCMHRD, but I converted SIBM-P.

CollegeSearch:What was your score?

Aditi: As far as I remember, it was 99.05%.

CollegeSearch: Which B-school and MBA program did you opt for?

Aditi:Although I received and converted calls from IIM I and K, New and Baby IIMs, MDI and SPJIMR, l opted for SPJIMR for its excellent marketing opportunities, international exchange program and socially sensitive pedagogy.

CollegeSearch:Can you share your preparation strategy with aspirants?

Aditi: How can they chalk out an intact study plan? - I did not prepare separately for SNAP. My preparation for CAT sufficed. I used Career Launcher mocks for SNAP to work on my time management. I tried studying everyday for 3-4 hours. I would sleep after coming back from work, then studied at night.

CollegeSearch: Which of the 4 sections you found to be easiest and most scoring?

Aditi: I found VaRC to be the easiest and most scoring and attempted the paper in the order LR (To maximize return on questions) then VaRC (Area of strength) then QA (To maximize marks and attempted all questions). I used this strategy to make up for my lag in GK.

CollegeSearch: Which topics and sub-topics should be best prepared to ace the exam?

Aditi: Apart from being high on Verbal ability, students should be proficient in Number system. Speed in LR will help maximize marks in minimum time.

CollegeSearch: What is the ideal score that an aspirant must aim for?

Aditi:Last year, SNAP was on the tougher side. Therefore, students should not aim for an ideal score and instead capitalize on question per unit time approach.

CollegeSearch: Are you anticipating any changes in SNAP 2016 pattern and type of questions?

Aditi:I believe SNAP this year will again be skewed towards LR and VA in terms of difficulty.

CollegeSearch:Which are the best sources or study material to prepare for each of the sections?

Aditi:Apart from being high on Verbal ability, students should be proficient in Number system. Speed in LR will help maximize marks in minimum time.

CollegeSearch: Is preparing for CAT sufficient to do well in SNAP?

Aditi: Yes, meticulous preparation for CAT is sufficient for SNAP

CollegeSearch:Which topic based questions are most likely to be repeated this year?

Aditi: Students may refer to SNAP 2015 paper. This year's paper should be in line with last year's paper.

CollegeSearch:What is your advice for SNAP aspirants this year?

Aditi: This may be general advice. But, enjoy the preparation phase. Study when your mind yearns to. And manage your time very well. SNAP tests a calm mind
