BHM: Eligibility

 

  • Your age should be between 19 and 22 years old (general category). SC and ST applicants are given an additional 2–3 years. 
  • You must have obtained at least a 50% grade point average in 10+2 from a recognized board or equivalent.
  • If you are seeking lateral entrance, you must have a minimum of a 50 percent score in a 3-year diploma in hotel management or an equivalent.
  • You must have finished your qualification with English as a required subject.
  • You should be able to communicate effectively.

BHM: Admission Process 2024

 

BHM admissions are typically merit-based; however, some institutions administer their own aptitude exams. Entrance tests could include exams such as UPSEE, AIHMCT WAT, IIHM and ECHAT. 

 

The various modes of admission are given below:

 

Entrance Exam-Based Admission: A few colleges have their own aptitude tests at the college level, while certain national-level entrance examinations are also held. Candidates who pass the examination are invited to counselling and group discussion sessions.

 

Merit-Based Admission: Few of these merit-based BHM-providing schools accept applicants. You may apply to these universities both online and in person. You must fill out the form with your personal information, educational qualifications, and other information. After you have paid the application fee in full, you must wait for the universities to disclose the merit list.

 

Lateral Entry Admission: This refers to admission directly into the second year of the program you have chosen. You must have completed your diploma in the relevant subject for this. The qualifying standards for the same may vary from institute to institute, such as in the WelcomGroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, where you must have a 3-year diploma in hotel management or equivalent after 10+2.
