ATMA is a high-quality test, the scores of which can be used in the admission process, as a reliable predictor of academic performance in post-graduate management programs, including functional, sectoral and computer management programs offered by various institutes/universities. The test is designed to assess the aptitude of the student for higher management education and primarily consists of sections on verbal skills, quantitative skills, and analytical reasoning. Questions are of the objective type.

ATMA makes the process of applying, registration, payments, grade cards and selection of center simpler and more efficient.

ATMA 2017 Eligibility

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50 marks aggregate.
  • Candidates can also be in the final year of their bachelor's degree.
  • The minimum age for a candidate required is 21 years.


ATMA 2017 Application Procedure

The candidate should fill details like  Full name, Email ID, Mobile Number and Date of Birth in the On-line Fee Payment form.

After filling in all the details, you have to click on the button: “click here to register for ATMA”.

The Payment is accepted from the candidates from 26 June 2017 to 17 July 2017 for the July Test.

The Registration Fee for ATMA is of Rs.1100/- (Rupees Eleven Hundred only)

Fees Payment

The candidates who are opting for the online mode to apply are required to pay the requisite fee online only, either through NEFT or Net Banking.

The candidates opting for the offline mode will have to pay the application fee via cash or DD.

The ATMA Application Fee is non-refundable and candidates must make sure that they pay the application fees within the prescribed time duration.

The Application Fee amount is Rs. 1100/- (for all categories)

ATMA 2017 Admit Card

There are separate admit card formats for the paper based test and the computer based test.The admit card mentions:

1) Roll number

2) Applicants name and address

3) Venue of the examination

4) Applicants and invigilator's signature

The admit card must be preserved for future use.


ATMA 2017 Exam Pattern

ATMA will be 3 hours exam. Candidates need to solve in all 180 questions divided in 6 sections. Each section comprises of 30 questions covering the different topics. It is multiple choice question paper, in which for each correct answer 1 mark and 1/3 mark is deducted for incorrect one. The exam pattern is as follows:

ATMA 2017 Syllabus

ATMA 2017 February exam will consist of three main topics, divided into six sections.

Candidates will have to attempt 180 questions in 180 minutes.

Sections of ATMA exam paper

Analytical Reasoning Skills: 

This section of the paper analyses the logical thinking of candidates. Aspirants must make sure that they strengthen their capability of analyzing situations, only then will they be able to select the correct answer. Having the correct approach and right frame of mind will help a candidate extensively in finding the answer to the questions.

Quantitative Skills:

Candidates will have to practice on a regular basis in order to excel in this skill. Questions related to probability, percentages, time and work, permutation and combination, coordinate geometry, average, profit and loss, mensuration, ratio and proportion variations, interest, geometry, inequalities, time speed and distance, progression, logarithm, set theory, quadratic equation, and functions are frequently asked in ATMA exam.

Verbal skills: 

This is a section which evaluates the English skills of a candidate. Candidates, an expect questions based on sentence completion, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence correction, to name but a few. 


ATMA 2016 Question Paper Analysis


ANALYTICAL REASONING:  It comprised of data sufficiency, Input- output, circular arrangement, statements & conclusions, deductions, cause & effect etc. topics in the exam.The questions on deduction were also very tough this year.There were many cause and effect type questions here.

VERBAL SKILLS: This section was majorly easy. Para completion questions were tricky.The majority of the questions were in the form of comprehension passages.Idioms,synonyms, fill in the blanks were also important questions.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE: They were simple and straightforward questions. There were many pie chart interpretation questions which were easy and carried heavy weightage.Percentage, equations, nd numbers also formed a major chunk of this section.

  • The syllabus remains the same as other premier MBA entrance exams in the country.The candidate can use the same guide and books as used for the preparation of CAT, SNAP etc.

  • Practicing SNAP / IIFT / XAT / TISS / CMAT / NMAT / IRMA / MAT previous yearbooks would also be beneficial.


ATMA 2017 Result

ATMA Scores will have to be downloaded from by using the login id and password sent to the email of the candidate. No hard copy will be issued unless otherwise specifically requested for.

ATMA Cut-Offs

There is no official cut-off for the ATMA exam.The candidates have to check the official website of the participating institutes and apply to the institutes they wish to participate in .The shortlisted students will have to follow the selection procedure of the participating institutes.

ATMA 2017 Selection Procedure

The candidates are selected by the respective institutes they chose to send their scores to. Each institute will have its separate cut off and score requirements.Some institutes may even have their GD/PI/WAT.The candidates should check the individual websites of the colleges they are interested in for additional requirements and score cutoffs.

Important Note:

  1. The admit card will have complete details of the allotted exam centre
  2. Candidates should make sure to carry the admit card to the exam hall.
  3. It is also advised to not bring any valuable items, a piece of paper, mobile phones, electronic devices with a radio transmitter, etc. inside the exam hall.

Score Evaluation

For each correct or best answer, you will get a score of one.

For any question not answered, a zero score will be given. A negative score will be given for a wrong or incorrect answer. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 point will be deducted.

Thus, for four incorrectly answered questions, one mark will be subtracted from the total score.

ATMA score report for each candidate will contain scores for the different sections -quantitative, verbal, analytical and total. These scores are based on raw scores of each candidate and are statistically scaled with reference to the entire Test population.

In addition to the scaled scores, the Score Report will also contain percentage below the data. These percentiles indicate the percentage of candidates in the entire ATMA Testing population, who have scored below the candidate in that category. that is the percentile is also mentioned. Thus, the percentile score ranks an applicant to a management program, in relation to other applicants, who have taken the Test.
