SBI Clerk Exam 2017 Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk is an online examination. The exam consists of five sections- General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge. Each section carries 50 marks and the total time duration of the test is 135 minutes.

The application form would be available in April 2017.

The process for application would be online.

Application form would not be submitted in any other mode apart from online.

Application fees would have be paid online.

The payment can be made using debit/credit card or online banking.

How to Crack the SBI Clerk Exam

SBI Clerk Exam 2017 Selection Procedure

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their score in SBI Clerk Examination. The high score holders would be immediately recruited on the job.

Candidates would have to pass in each section by gaining marks to be decided by the Bank.

The adequate number of candidates in every category as shortlisted by the Bank would be shortlisted for the mains exam.

The questions in the objective section except for English would be bilingual.

Negative marks for the wrong answer in the objective test would be 1/4 marks that would be awarded.

Passing marks would be determined on the basis of the performance of all the candidates in the exam.

An 'Acquaint yourself' booklet would be given to the candidates appearing for the exam.

Candidates who would have qualified in the exam would be placed according to their marks in the descending order in many categories.

Depending on the number of vacancies, only certain candidates on the basis of ranking would be eligible for interview in the ratio of 3 in every category

Interview call letters would be uploaded on the website after declaration of results of an online test.

The marks obtained in the prelims would not be added for selection and only marks obtained in Mains would be added to marks obtained in the interview.

Results of the candidates who had appeared for the interview and those who have been finally selected would be uploaded on the website. Final selection

Reading skills: Sections such as General Awareness require the knowledge of all the current affairs of the society. candidate must develop a good reading skill by reading newspapers and magazines at a good rate so as to increase their domain of knowledge.

Syllabus: Before starting any preparation process, it is utterly important for the candidate to be completely aware of all the syllabus contents. Candidates must have a complete knowledge of how topics are structured in the syllabus and get clear about each and every topic.

Practice: Along with the other things, the one best thing anyone can do is practice stuff enough so as to master that area of knowledge. This is how one can get the most out of the preparation routine. Practicing different type of questions from different places for the topics one has covered will strengthen the base.

1) Who does the SBI Clerk exam cater to?

The exam is conducted for recruitment of Junior Associates and Junior Clerical Associates in the Agricultural cadre.

2) What are the emoluments that are available?

INR 20,950 per month inclusive of DA and other allowances. Allowances may change according to the place of posting. The employees are eligible for Gratuity,

SBI Clerk cutoff is the minimum marks a candidate must score for getting selected in the next round. The cutoff scored in the preliminary exam helps the

candidate advance to the next phase. Whichever candidate scores the required cutoff in the mains would be going to the next phase.

The SBI cutoff that has to be scored section-wise is the minimum to go to the next round. Candidates would have to score in the following sections:

General/Financial Awareness, English Language, Quantitative, Reasoning and Computer Aptitude.

The overall cutoff is required to be scored by the candidates to proceed to the next round. Along with the sectional, only when a candidate scores the overall

cutoff, the candidate would be going to the next round.
