KEAM 2018 Eligibility

Candidate should have science stream at 10+2 level with minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and minimum 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined.

KEAM 2018 Application Procedure

Online submission of application through the website is required to apply for the Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical & Allied, Engineering, and Architecture).

Here are the detailed steps to Apply for KEAM 2018:

  1. Candidate Registration

    This is a one-time procedure. During the process, candidates will get a system generated Application Number. Candidates are requested to enter their own password when demanded. Preferably a strong password is recommended. It ensures the candidates' safe online activities. The requirements of a strong password are:

    • A minimum length of 8 characters
    • A minimum of one alphabet character [a-z or A-Z]
    • A minimum of one number (0-9)
    • A minimum of one symbol [! @ # $ % ^ & * ]

    The candidate has to re-enter the password for confirmation. Don't disclose the password to others. Remember the password till the end of allotment process of KEAM-2018 for further login including mark submission and CAP. There will be a Security question and candidates should provide an answer to it. For further login, candidates have to note down all the information provided during this stage.

  2. Candidate Login

    Login is required to proceed through all other stages of online submission. In order to login, a candidate should provide Application number and Password.

A candidate who does not belong to SC/ST communities will be treated as ‘General' candidate for the collection of application fee.

KEAM 2018 Admit Card

Steps to Download the KEAM Admit Card for 2018 Examination:

  1. To download the KEAM 2018 Admit Card candidates are required to enter their KEAM 2018 Application No and Date of birth
  2. A printout of the Hall Ticket of KEAM 2018 has to be taken by the candidate to carry to the exam hall on the day of the exam.
  3. Candidates can also download and take printouts of their KEAM Admit Card at the various at Help Desks and Facilitation Centres set up across the State for this purpose
  4. The KEAM 2018 Admit Card will have the details of the Exam Centre and Schedule of the Exam along with the particulars of the candidate.
  5. Candidates must carry the Hall Ticket of KEAM 2018 to the Exam Centre when appearing for the KEAM exam
  6. Only candidates whose KEAM 2018 Applications Forms have been accepted will be able to download the Admit Card of KEAM 2018.
  7. The KEAM 2018 Admit Card has to be kept safe by the candidates till the admission process is completed.

KEAM 2018 Preparation Tips

  1. Time Management: Maintaining a proper schedule for every task that you do can lead you to success. Prepare along with all daily tasks such as exercise, play, and every other task by managing the time.
  2. Diet & food: Maintain a completely healthy diet including fresh fruits and vegetables. Try to ignore oily stuff and have a properly balanced diet.
  3. Positivity: Always try to be positive towards every work that you do and be focused towards all your activities along with studies. Being optimistic works very well many times in such situations.
  4. Mock Tests: Prepare the best way by appearing as many mock tests you can, and analyze the results regularly. Try solving the portion which you find difficult in the mock tests and create a strong base.
  5. A Smart way to Prepare: Make separate sheets for formulas and theorem that can help you a lot while solving numerical in Physics and Mathematics.
  6. Believe in yourself: Self-belief is most important as it generates a lot of positivity and gives the boost to your confidence.
  7. Revise: Make sure you revise every topic thoroughly and prepare well every topic by revising time and again. Also, prepare separate revision plan for last minute preparation.

KEAM 2018 Exam Pattern

KEAM 2018 Pattern as follows:

  • The exam will comprise of Paper I  - Physics & Chemistry and Paper II - Mathematics.
  • Each paper will consist of 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes.
  • The test will only have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks
  • Negative Marking is Applicable - 1 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  • Quadratic Equations: Solution of a Quadratic Equation in the Complex Number System by (i) Factorization (ii) Using Formula; Relation between Roots and Coefficients; Nature of Roots; Formation of Quadratic Equations with given Roots; Equations Reducible to Quadratic Forms.
