What is KEAM ?

KEAM Exam Date 2022 has been revised to 4th July 2022. KEAM was previously scheduled to be conducted on 3rd July 2022 but as per an official notification released by Kerala Government, the exam will now be conducted in the month of July. Candidates seeking admission through KEAM 2022 must register themselves on or before 5 PM of 30th April 2022. CEEKerala Application Date is from 6th April 2022 to 30th April 2022.

Paper 1 for Physics and Chemistry will be scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 pm while Paper 2 for Mathematics will be held from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Candidates who wish to appear in the exam must first register themselves when the KEAM Registration window.

KEAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria has been decided by CEE, Kerala and candidates seeking admission to Engineering and Pharmacy programs through the exam must check before appearing in the examination. As per KEAM Exam Pattern, the minimum eligibility for admission is to have passed 12th class examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Candidates are required to appear in both the papers i.e. Paper 1 (Physics and Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). What is KEAM?

Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM), also known as CEEKerala is an entrance examination conducted for admission to programs in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Medical in KEAM Participating Colleges across Kerala state. The exam is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE).

  • KEAM 2022 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 12th July 2022 (Revised Date).
  • Eligibility Criteria of KEAM specify various factors such as Nationality, Domicile Certificate, Qualifying Marks, Candidate's Age, Marks Relaxation, etc.

The admission to the participating colleges will be done based on candidates' performance in KEAM Entrance Exam. However, for admission to programs in the field of Architecture, and Medical, marks in NATA and NEET will be considered. This year, the exam is being conducted a little early as KEAM 2021 was conducted on 5th August 2021. Students who appeared in KEAM 2021 and could not qualify the exam back then can also apply for KEAM being conducted in 2022. 

KEAM Registration

KEAM Application consists of filling up KEAM Application form made available on the official website of KEAM i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates can apply for the exam by filling the application form, uploading the required documents, processing the payment of application fee, and then submitting the duly filled application form.

Candidates must ensure that the details filled in the application form must be correct as any incorrect information may lead to cancelation of candidature. As per the stats of KEAM Registration 2021, there were total 35783 male and 35959 female students who appeared in the examination. KEAM Registration 2021 was conducted in the month of June 2021 dues to pandemic COVID-19. The data is also available on KEAM Official Website i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in.

Candidates can upload their passport sized photograph, signature, personal details on the window that will be available after the registration process is completed. Step 1 – Registration

  • Visit the official website of KEAM i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • Click on the “KEAM Registration” link and the details such as Applicant's name, DOB, Email id and Mobile number, Password, and the Security code on the screen.
  • After the successful registration of KEAM 2022, candidates will receive and application number of their registered email id.

Step 2 – Fill KEAM Application Form 2022

In this step, candidates are required to fill every basic information such as preferred course, personal details, etc.

  • Course – Candidates must select the course or courses which they would want to take admission to. They also must select the examination centre from the options available in the form.
  • Personal Details – Afterwards, they must enter their personal details such as gender, Aadhar card UID, Address, Mobile number, etc.
  • Qualification Details – Enter academic/ qualification details i.e. exam status of 12th class board exam, or whether student has applied for CEEKerala before, etc.
  • Reservation – In this section, applicants will be able to claim (if eligible) communal reservation.
  • Income Details – They must enter family income details while filling the application form.

Step 3 – Payment of Application Fee

In this step, applicants must process the payment of application fee. Candidates belonging to general category are required to process the payment of INR 700 as KEAM Application Fee while candidates belonging to SC category are required to pay INR 300 as KEAM Registration Fee.

Step 4 – Uploading of Scanned Images

In this step, applicants must upload all the required documents such as passport sized photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.

The application fee for SC candidates during the time of KEAM 2021 Registration was INR 400 which now has been reduced to INR 300.

Candidates can process the payment of application fee through Online Payment Modes and E-challan. Through online payment, candidates can make the payment through internet banking, or credit/debit card. On successful payment, the candidate will be guided back to the home page wherein he/she will find the ‘Pay Application Fee' tab at the top turned green. Candidates seeking admission through KEAM must ensure that they register themselves for the exam by filling the KEAM Application Form available online on the official website. Below mentioned are the complete details with some key instructions concerning the KEAM Application Form 2022:

  • The application form for the exam have been released from 6th April 2022 on the official website of KEAM.
  • Candidates, before filling the application form, must confirm if they stand eligible for the exam as only eligible candidates will be allowed to submit the application form.
  • Candidates must ensure that the details filled by them in the application form are correct as any incorrect detail will lead to cancelation of their candidature.
  • Though the examination conducting authority will also provide the application form correction facility in case any corrections are to be made in the form by candidates.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria

The general eligibility criteria of CEEKerala are required to be fulfilled by the aspirants seeking admission through KEAM Exam. Below mentioned are some of the factors that students must fulfil in order to be eligible for the examination:

  • Candidates with Indian nationality are eligible. (Candidates with OCI/ PIO or Indian Citizenship can apply for the exam.)
  • Candidates' age must be at least 17 years as on 31st December 2022.
  • Candidates are categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I), and Non-Keralite Category II (NK II) candidates seeking admission to Professional Degree programs will be classified (NK II).

KEAM Admit Card

KEAM Admit Card will release a few days before the commencement of the examination. Candidates who would successfully register for the exam will be able to download their respective admit card. Below mentioned are some of the key points of KEAM 2022 Admit Card:

  • KEAM 2022 Admit Card will be made available on the official website of CEEKerala and candidates can download their respective admit card by logging into their account using their credentials.
  • Candidates must get a printout of their admit card and take it along on the examination day.
  • No soft copy will be accepted at the examination hall.
  • Only blue/black ball point pens will be allowed in the examination hall.

KEAM 2022 Application Procedure

Online submission of application through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in is required to apply for the Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical & Allied, Engineering, and Architecture).

Here are the detailed steps to Apply for KEAM 2019:

  1. Candidate Registration

    This is a one-time procedure. During the process, candidates will get a system generated Application Number. Candidates are requested to enter their own password when demanded. Preferably a strong password is recommended. It ensures the candidates' safe online activities. The requirements of a strong password are:

    • A minimum length of 8 characters
    • A minimum of one alphabet character [a-z or A-Z]
    • A minimum of one number (0-9)
    • A minimum of one symbol [! @ # $ % ^ & * ]

    The candidate has to re-enter the password for confirmation. Don't disclose the password to others. Remember the password till the end of allotment process of KEAM-2018 for further login including mark submission and CAP. There will be a Security question and candidates should provide an answer to it. For further login, candidates have to note down all the information provided during this stage.

Steps to Download the KEAM Admit Card for 2022 Examination:

  1. To download the KEAM 2022 Admit Card candidates are required to enter their KEAM 2022 Application No and Date of birth
  2. A printout of the Hall Ticket of KEAM 2022 has to be taken by the candidate to carry to the exam hall on the day of the exam.
  3. Candidates can also download and take printouts of their KEAM Admit Card at the various at Help Desks and Facilitation Centres set up across the State for this purpose
  4. The KEAM 2022 Admit Card will have the details of the Exam Centre and Schedule of the Exam along with the particulars of the candidate.
  5. Candidates must carry the Hall Ticket of KEAM 2022 to the Exam Centre when appearing for the KEAM exam
