GMCET (Global Media Common Entrance Test) is the first Media Common Entrance Test in South Asia that gives admission to Undergraduate Media Programmes. GMCET Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a higher secondary qualification (10+2) or equivalent education with a minimum of 50% for general categories and 45% for SC/ST/OBC.
  • Candidates with a 3-year or 4-year diploma and a minimum grade point average of 50% from an AICTE-accredited university may also apply.

GMCET Exam Pattern

The GMCET examination lasts one hour and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions with only one correct answer. The examination will be worth a total of 100 points and will assess the student's skill in four sections, with all questions being multiple-choice. The GMCET evaluates the candidate's introduction knowledge in four areas, with 25 questions in each: (A) English Language & IQ; (B) General Knowledge of News & Current Affairs; (C) Entertainment Media Knowledge; and (D) Brands & Brand Communication Basic Knowledge. GMCET Registration Process 2023

Step 1: Go to the official website of the Global Media Common Entrance Test (GMCET 2023) at https://gmcet.org/ and click on the Apply Now Button.

Step 2: Register for the GMCET examination by giving all essential information and ensuring that it is all correct.

Step 3: For future reference, an automatic email with a Username and Password will be issued to your registered email ID/Phone Number.

Step 4: After login in to the site, fill out the entire application form, then click on the Pay Now button to pay the registration fee of 1000/-.

(Note: Candidates can pay the fee by UPI, Paytm, Debit/ Credit Cards, PayU, and Net Banking, as desired).

Guidelines for GMCET 2023 Exam

  • The GMCET 2023 exam will be held online, and you can take it from your smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer.
  • There will be 100 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer that must be completed in 60 minutes.
  • Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer; however, there will be no negative marking for any incorrect answers.
  • Candidates can access the examination system using their registered email address. Exams will be autosaved after one hour, regardless of when they are submitted; however, it is always best to submit all tried questions before the deadline.
  • Our experts will continuously monitor through cameras, audio, and browser activities to avoid any nefarious behaviors throughout the exam. The screens are always recorded for the duration of the exam.
  • Students should log in 30 minutes before the test begins, and the test will start at the specified time. Please keep in mind that the candidate will only be permitted to take the exam as specified in the Test.
  • Please keep in mind that laptops and desktop computers running Windows 7 or higher are preferable.
  • Make sure your browser's pop-up blocker is turned off. Any antivirus, Windows update, or email notification notifications. They will be credited with navigation. Your exam will be submitted automatically after three warnings.
  • Please ensure that your laptop/desktop is fully charged before taking the exam as a precaution against unexpected power disruptions.
  • Students are advised to finish their exams with adequate internet connectivity. They are advised to ensure that all replies are correctly submitted.
  • Please guarantee that you are sitting alone in a room when taking the exams. Also, make sure you're sitting in a well-lit area when taking the exam. It is strongly encouraged that students should not answer any incoming calls.

GMCET 2023 Result

  • The results will be announced on June 30, 2023.
  • Only the official GMCET websites https://gmcet.org/ will have access to GMCET results. To view the results on the website, candidates must provide their user username and password (established during the registration procedure).
  • Candidates can view or download their results from the Dashboard after logging into the portal.

GMCET Admission Process

  • After the GMCET results are announced, candidates must submit their counselling forms within 5 days after the announcement of the exam results.
  • Candidates must select the final Campus and course of study when filling out the counselling application form.
  • Candidates will receive a call from the chosen institute within three days after completing the counselling application form.
  • Candidates must pay the seat booking fee in Respective Campus to secure admission. Candidates will receive admission confirmation and fee receipts in the mail.
