JEE Main (I) examination is scheduled to be conducted from January 2, 2019, by the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main Admit Card was released on December 17, 2018, and the candidates who successfully applied for the Joint Entrance Examination must visit the official website of JEE Main or NTA to download their respective admit card.
Less than a month time is left for the examination. Following is the list of Dos and Don'ts for the candidates appearing for JEE Main 2019 examination:
Make sure to keep at least 6-7 hours for JEE Main preparation every day. You can always take small breaks of 10-15 minutes after every 2-3 hours of rigorous study.
By now, you must be surely knowing your syllabus. Divide the syllabus according to your weaker and the stronger areas and plan your preparation strategy accordingly.
If you want to keep a proper check of your speed and accuracy then don't ignore mock tests, rather take at least one mock test every day. Evaluate and analyze your mistakes and try to eradicate them.
Try to clear all your doubts side by side. Don't bundle them up. You can take help from your teachers, friends, mentors or seniors but don't ignore the doubts.
At times, student ignores their NCERT Textbooks. Always remember that NCERT Textbook focuses on the fundamentals and there might numerous questions in the JEE Main Question Paper that would be asked to check your understanding of basics or fundamentals.
You may get confused by referring too many books. Everyone has their own success stories. Don't get influenced by what your friends are studying. Stick to the books referred by your teachers or mentors and study them thoroughly along with your NCERT Textbooks.
Maintain a balance while selecting the topic. As the examination is less than 20 days away, your can't take the risk of wasting too much time on a single topic. Rather, try to cover all the topics and don't leave any topic untouched.
Whether you are solving a sample paper, previous year paper or taking a mock test; don't forget to set a time limit for yourself.
Don't panic as your exam approaches. You had been preparing for this examination for a long time and the syllabus is based on what you have already covered in class XI and XII. Relax and maintain a positive attitude towards your goal.
